Week of 12/10-12/15
I hope that you had a restful weekend! We have one more week of school until our winter break. Please note that there are no COC classes. If students do not have classes, if able, students can sleep in and arrive to classes at AOC at their scheduled time. Here is the AOC Final Exams schedule for the week of 12/10. If students need a place to work, our computer lab is open every day. Regarding the finals exam schedule, all electives meet and school will be held from 7:45am-2:55pm. If students have COC classes, they can be picked up during that time from their parents. But, they are expected to attend their AOC final exam time frames. Their attendance is very important to our school and may impact their final grades.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Collaborative Furniture-Thank You!
Thank You to Our Generous Parents and Legacy Families-Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Collaborative Furniture
For the families who donated to our Legacy Project and collaborative furntiure, AOC thanks you!
On Friday, we honored our families and thanked them in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate and honor the generosity and fundraising efforts of our dedicated ROOTS board.
We stood togethers, hearts full of gratitude and excitement to express our sincerest thanks to those who have made a significant impact on the learning environment at our school. We wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the generous donations of collaborative furniture that have transformed the way our students engage with education.
Our parents commitment to the betterment of education has manifested in a tangible and transformative way within our school walls. The donation of collaborative furniture has not just been about providing chairs and desks; it has been about creating an environment that fosters teamwork, creativity, and active learning. A very special thank you to the Jawich, Patrus, Hajjar, Haykal and Williams families for giving with the intention and belief in our schools' mission and work.
Since the arrival of this innovative furniture, we have witnessed a remarkable change in our classrooms. The traditional rows of desks have given way to flexible seating arrangements that encourage collaboration and communication among students. The impact on their learning experiences has been tremendous, and it is heartening to see our students enthusiastically embracing this change.
The collaborative furniture has become more than just functional pieces; it has become a symbol of a community that cares deeply about the education and well-being of our students. It has created spaces where ideas are born, projects are developed, and friendships are forged. The ripple effect of your generosity extends far beyond the physical items donated; it has permeated the very essence of our educational ecosystem.
Our students now have the opportunity to learn in an environment that mirrors the collaborative nature of the real world. They are better prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow, armed with not only knowledge but also the essential skills of teamwork, adaptability, and creativity. Your contribution has undoubtedly played a vital role in shaping the future of these young minds.
In closing, on behalf of the entire school community, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of the families who have given with their hearts to this project. Your generosity has made a lasting impact, and we are excited about the continued positive influence it will have on the education and lives of our students.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support and commitment to the growth and success of our school.
ROOTS Hot Cocoa Chocolate and Snacks & ASB Gingerbread Cookie House Competition
Thank you once again to Mr. Anthony Acosta and ROOTS parents for generously spending your time and energy to give back to our school for this very special event. It was so very uplifting. On a cold and wintery day, it warmed our students and gave them a little cheer just in time to celebrate the end of COC final exams! Thank you, ROOTS and Mr. Acosta and family! Thank you to our parent volunteers. It would not have been a success without all of your help! ASB held a special gingerbread house competition. It was an incredibly fun Friday! Thank you, ASB for a fun and music filled event!
Happy Hanukkah to all of our AOC families and students who celebrate!
