Arrival and Dismissal Routines

Developing arrival and dismissal routines for almost 600 students takes some creativity, flexibility and patience from all of us. Please review the information below before our first day of school. Thanks for your support to keep all of our kids and staff safe!

We officially are dismissed at 3:40. We begin our internal routines at 3:30.

• Please note that for safety and security reasons we will continue our practice of no adults walking kids into school. New families, it sounds scary, but we have lots of adults posted around the building ~ everyone gets where they need to go!
• Doors open for kids at 8:25.
• Please do not drop off in our car pool lines until notified by an NG adult.
• Kids eating breakfast should go straight to the cafeteria.

The PTO will be hosting a first day of school coffee in the pavilion!

Please follow your AC guidelines for drop off and pick up procedures.

The quicker we can see the name of your riders, the quicker we can get the kids to you. We have some standard car pick up placards that we will make available at back to school night. If you miss out on those please do have a clear sign ready for Day 1.

We dismiss our walkers and bike riders last to try and avoid mixing kids with vehicles like busses!

• If you are meeting your NG kiddo after school, your teacher will let you know where to meet the class.
• Walkers/bike riders will exit out the FRONT DOORS.
• Please do not congregate around the doors.
• If your student is walking home, they will be released from the staff member who walked them outside.
• Kids need to follow our safety guidelines for using the crosswalks.
• Our playground/track/field/blacktop are for Adventure Club and our after school clubs use only after school until 6:00.
