As a result of a number of challenges over the past couple of years, student mental health and wellness have become a significant priority for all of our schools and programs. Suicide Prevention/Intervention/Postvention is a key element of this work. In response to this, EDCOE is making every effort to provide you with resources and opportunities that best suit the needs of your students and families. Please see the examples below:

Climb Up! and Ascend programs will begin weekly Free Climb days on the second Thursday of each month from 6-8 PM at Blue Granite Climbing Gym. This will be supported by TCC staff and Blue Granite coaches. This is a program targeted at underserved, lower-income youth and their families as well as anyone who has barriers to accessing climbing. BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx are highly encouraged to attend. Come learn to climb, belay, and have a great time! Please note: this is not a kid drop-off event and parents are expected to stay and participate. Tutoring For All: Gov. Newsom announced this last week and it's pretty incredible. There is a FREE tutoring website for any/all K-12 students in the state. Check it out here:

Students will need to create an account to have access to all the tutoring opportunities including math support, writing help, and help for English learners as well.
