Happy Advent!
Good Afternoon!
Hard to believe that Advent is here! What a wonderful time of the year. This is a great time of preparation for the coming of Christ, and the end of the semester. Our classrooms have had a steady mix of intense industrious working, quiet contemplative prayer, and an upbeat excitement of Advent and what/who is to come!
We had a great turnout for our annual PTO Spaghetti Dinner. I can't even start to name everyone who volunteered to make this event a great success. However, I will name a few that were absolutely amazing. First off, our PTO executive board was behind the scenes for months preparing for this, and on the week of the event they were here more than I was! THANK YOU Lecye Lippoldt, Carly Hobart, Rachel Greif, Renee Witten, and Andrea Barry (Not to mention their families who were alongside helping them as well)! Secondly, Steve Carano, Stefano DeLorenzi, John Elkins, Eric Booth, and Kevin Kirk were in the kitchen for what seemed like 4 straight days concocting the "super spaghetti sauce," rolling meatballs, and making pasta. THANK YOU for your countless hours of time to create a magnificent meal! Third, there were so many families that helped setup, decorate, breakdown, and cleanup. THANK YOU to everyone who gave their time to help out. What an amazing parish school community we have! Fourth, THANK YOU to our middle school students for helping serve on the day of the event! Lastly, our teachers and many others donated to the dessert auction. We had a great spread and raised a lot of funds for our parish school because of your delicious desserts. THANK YOU!
On Monday, we had our Wreath Blessing. Our middle school students led us in the Liturgy of the Word, and we had a blessing for the Advent Wreaths that go in each classroom. Each class had a representative receive their class wreath from the Altar and processed the wreath back to their classrooms.
December 20th will be our Christmas Program put on by our PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten classes. The program will start at 10:00am. I have heard the students practicing, and we are in for a treat! We hope to see you there!
Well, the Parental Choice Tax Credit application is officially open! There were some glitches yesterday, bit it seemed to go fairly well for most. A gentle reminder for our returning families: If you did not apply for the PCTC, we strongly encourage you to do so. If you are returning to SPN next fall, and you apply for the PCTC but do not qualify, you will be eligible to apply for SPN parish grants & aid. If you do not apply for the PCTC, you will not be eligible for SPN parish grants & aid. Father Wood and I are more than willing to ensure that your out of pocket costs do not go up next school year, as long as you apply for the PCTC. Thank you for understanding!

- School Mass is tomorrow (Friday, December 8th) at 9am for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
School Mass & Rosary
School Mass is Friday this week. We will resume our normal schedule of School Mass at 9:00am on Thursdays next week. Rosary is on Wednesdays at 2:30pm. Please join us for Rosary on Wednesdays, and Mass on Thursdays!
