Bingo & Basket Raffle Family Night
Please keep sending in items for the Woodland Bingo & Basket Raffle Family Night on Friday, March 22, 2024! Each classroom has been assigned a unique theme for this event. Donations can be brought in between January 1st and March 1st. Thank you!
End of Quarter - Report Cards
As we approach the end of the second quarter, please be aware that the “Grades” tab in Infinite Campus will close to parents on Friday, January 12th. On Friday, January 26th after 4:00 pm you can access your child’s report card via Infinite Campus. Please note that when reviewing the report card, teacher comments do not show up in the portal when looking at the main Grades screen. They do, however, if you access the Reports screen. From there, you can generate a report card in pdf format that will have all the comments.
Book Swap
Thank you for your help in making our book swaps a big success! The next book swap will take place on January 24th. This is an optional activity. Please keep in mind that we will always take any old books you are looking to donate. Thank you!
All School Photo
Our Woodland Elementary all school photo will be taken on Wednesday, January 31. The theme will be the Kimberly "K".” Students should wear red on January 31st.
Counselor's Corner with Mr. Biolo
The development of good character is not an isolated skill to be taught in one area of a child’s life. It is an effort of home, school, and community to instill in our young people the value of character. The development of good character touches our personal development for living, it impacts our success with academic development in learning, and good character is essential in the workforce to be successful in our work.
These Character “Table Talks” provide a set of questions for specific character traits. These questions were developed for home use to guide family discussions on character as school and home work together to instill the values of good character.
Each week for 9 weeks we will put a new character trait in the newsletter/weekly notes. Each character trait will come as a cut-out that can be folded and placed on a table. Questions and talking points will be listed on each cut-out. (Some of the language may have to be adjusted by you based on your child's age and understanding.)
