PRINCIPAL's THOUGHTS
Dear Page Hilltop Families:
Our Kindness Month activities continue.
FOOD DRIVE: Our food drive donations have surpassed the 300 count as of this week! We are now a third of the way to our goal of 1000 donated food items! We hope you will all keep the donations coming. Our school & community will benefit from this activity.
PENNY CHALLENGE: This fun kindness activity will take place this week (Feb. 6 - 10). Please see the poster below for details as to how the "Challenge" will happen.
In addition to raising funds for spring school events, the "Challenge" will provide opportunities for student grade levels to earn special "bonus prizes" each of the days. These daily prizes include special hat days, popsicle parties, bonus recess prizes, and a GRAND PRIZE for the week's top winning grade level!
Volunteers Needed: We would love to have several volunteers who are able to come, each day, between 10:45 - 2:00. You would be helping at lunches to monitor the table in the cafe, and/or tallying the penny challenge donations for each day after lunches.
Thanks, as always, for sharing your children with us!

STUDENT DROP-OFF / PICK-UP
Dear Page Hilltop Parents:
I hope this finds you all staying safe and warm during this record-breaking cold spell. Hopefully, we will all be enjoying some much warmer weather in the next couple of days.
We are noticing an increase in the number of students being brought to school in private vehicles on these cold winter days. I wanted to take this opportunity to provide you all with some details regarding the drop-off and pick-up procedures that are in place to ensure the safety of all our students, parents, and staff.
All students should be dropped off between 8:25 - 8:40 each morning and picked up at 3:15 each afternoon.
Parents do not need to get out of their vehicles for either the drop-off or pick-up times. Simply follow the line of vehicles and our school staff will assist your children as they exit and enter your vehicles.
Some parents choose to park their vehicles in one of our lower parking lots and walk up to the school entrance with their children.
- Option “A” - Park in the PH lower lot (adjacent to the cafe / gym areas) and then walk up the sidewalk that follows the perimeter of the school. This will lead you right up to the front entrance.
- Option “B” - Park in the high school parking lot. Follow the sidewalk that is adjacent to the football field, go across the access road using the crosswalk, and follow the sidewalk up to the front entrance.
Both of these walking routes provide you with a safe and convenient path to the school entrance. The sidewalks are maintained by our custodial staff throughout the wintery weather.
AT THIS TIME we ask that you do NOT attempt to walk along the sidewalk area that runs between the PH lower parking lot and the access road. You will notice that this sidewalk is currently covered with a large mound of snow/ice. Until such time as this sidewalk area is cleared of all snow/ice, it is not safe for foot traffic.
Thank you all for your attention to these guidelines. Please feel free to call my office with any additional questions.

MORE KINDNESS ACTIVITIES
- What are ways that you, as a family, can spread random acts of kindness? Please send me notes and/or emails letting me know what your family does. Would love to share your ideas with others.
- All PH students are invited to compose a "kindness poem" and bring it to the office. We will be selecting some poems to be shared at our upcoming Kindness Assembly.
- Thanks to all of our wonderful students who have submitted "Kindness T-Shirt" designs. We received over 100 designs. School staff will be previewing these designs and a winner will be selected and announced at the Kindness Assembly.
PTO UPDATES
SAVE THE DATE! Next Meeting - Thursday, February 9th @ 7:00 pm.
GUEST SPEAKER: Tom Houle, ASRSD Food Services Director
FREE CHILDCARE & SPECIAL FUN PROJECTS for all children.
This past week all PH families received an on-line survey from our PTO. The purpose of this simply to determine how our PTO can be of service to all of our students & parents. As I have said many many times, the connection between school and home is the key to the success of our students. Our PTO is a valuable link between home & school. We hope you will all take a few minutes to complete the survey.
If, for any reason, you did not receive this survey, please contact our school office.
PLEASE NOTE: For this Thursday's PTO meeting, we will be offering BOTH a LIVE meeting attendance opportunity as well as a VIRTUAL opportunity. Links to a Zoom option will be sent home this week.
