- UTK/Kindergarten: kindergarten playground
- 1st/2nd grades: courtyard
- 3rd-5th grades: basketball courts
As a reminder, certain costumes are not permitted, including any costume that is of a violent nature, scary for younger students or otherwise inappropriate for school. If your student wears an inflatable costume, please make sure they have a change of clothes before going to class.

We would like to thank Markissa Hollman for organizing the wonderful event and all of you who participated in making this a successful event.
Picture Day Make-Up November 3rd
Leader in Me Monthly Habits
People who put first things first focus on the important, not just the urgent, act on priorities, plan weekly, and act daily. You are putting first things first when you organize your time around the most important things and eliminate the unimportant.
Kid Language
Work First, Then Play: I spend my time on things that are most important. This means I say no to things I know I should not do. I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan. I am disciplined and organized.
Ways to practice Put First Things First:
- Talk with your family about your most important jobs or responsibilities, such as doing homework, making the bed, or taking out the garbage.
- Do your chores before being asked.
- Do the hardest part of your homework first.
- Think of something you’ve been putting off for a long time, like cleaning up your room or pumping up the flat tire on your bike. Go do it right now!
LCFF Data Collection - Deadline October 31st
San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) will again ask all school sites to collect Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) forms for all students for the 2023-24 school year. LCFF data collection also affects Title I Eligibility/Ranking, and the higher the collection rate, the more funding the district as a whole and individual school sites will receive. The collection process is currently open and will run through October 31, 2023; but we ask for the needed information to be collected as soon as possible.
Your child’s school needs this information to help ensure it receives all the state funding to which it is entitled. It will not affect your child receiving free meals at this school as all children will have free access to meals this school year. You may have received an email from SDUSD with a link to complete the LCFF form on Survey Monkey.
The LCFF online form is available on the Parent Portal, and NOT on the student’s portal. To create a Parent Portal account, you will need:
- A valid email address
- Access ID and Password from your student's school
If you do not have the Access ID and Password for your student, please come to the front office with a photo ID (DL). You will need an Access ID and Password for each student you wish to link to your account.
Click here to access the Parent Portal
You may complete it using Survey Monkey or Parent Portal but you do not need to do both.
PLEDGE DRIVE EXTENDED!
The FFO is excited to announce that the 2023 Pledge Drive has been extended until November 3rd!
That gives us just TWELVE days to hit our goal and increase our chance to hit some more FUN INCENTIVES!
Last week, your donations pushed us past our $60k milestone and earned Jerabek Koalas a 2nd MOVIE NIGHT in the spring. WAY TO GO!
We are now LESS THAN $20,000 from hitting our GOAL of $80,000!
Thank you to all those who have donated so far! Your support helps lead to THRIVING koalas! Suggested minimum per family to hit our goal is $250.
DON'T FORGET! Keep those company matches coming! It's a great way to double (or triple!) your impact! Company matches contribute toward the CLASS PIZZA PARTY for the top-earning class in each grade level! Reach out to your company HR to submit a request. It’s easy peasy and HELPS OUR KOALAS REACH NEW HEIGHTS!
