Things are happening at MRMS! We have just concluded our first two weeks with implementation of our sports and clubs, albeit, somewhat abridged. Our school newspaper, The Monomoy Citizen, just published its first addition of the school year, and our student council, under the supervision of Ms. Lyndsey Allen, has been meeting throughout the year. The student council has implemented numerous initiatives, most recently potting and distributing plants for all middle school and central office staff in the building. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week last week. Our teachers were so grateful among being smothered with flowers and candy. I am excited to see all the energy all these activities have generated for students.

---WHAT'S NEW?---

MCAS Update: Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) will be continuing for students in grade 5-7 for the subjects of ELA, Math, Science. The testing dates will be May 25th, June 1st , and June 10th. All distance learning students should have received specific communication about how your child will participate in testing.

June 17th: Virtual Evening of Excellence

June 18th: Last day of school (Dismissal at 11:50 am)
