Musicians of the Month
The Thomas HS Music Department is proud to recognize the following Musicians of the Month for their outstanding dedication, leadership, and musicianship in our Thomas HS Music Program!

October Athletes of the Month
Tyler E.- Varsity Football
Not only is Tyler excelling on the field as a sophomore on varsity football. Tyler spends time studying the game plans, schemes and watches film on his performances to become a better athlete. He has a high football IQ - understands the importance of situations and tendencies. Tyler is also a high achiever in the classroom with a 92% GPA. In his first varsity game - Tyler scored a defensive touchdown off an interception
Olivia B.- Field Hockey
Olivia is a dedicated, hard worker and great athlete. She gives 110% every day at practice or at a game. She brings an attitude of positivity to the team. She leads the team in scoring and assists. Her never give up attitude is why I nominate her for athlete of the month.
Esports Update
Counter-Strike 2 Team
Game description - Counter-Strike 2 is a 2023 multiplayer tactical first-person shooter game. The game pits two teams, the Counter-Terrorists and the Terrorists, against each other in various game modes, most of which are objective-based
Rules: 5v5, Best of 1
On Monday the Thomas Counter-Strike 2 Team won their first match 1-0 (13-5) in a best of one format.
Thomas Titans are currently ranked 7/22 teams in the nation
Valorant Team
Game description - Valorant is a team-based first-person tactical hero shooter set in the near future. Players play as one of a set of Agents, characters based on several countries and cultures around the world.[7] In the main game mode, players are assigned to either the attacking or defending team with each team having five players on it.
Rules: 5v5, Best of 1
On Monday the Thomas Valorant Team lost their first match 0-1 (5-13) in a best of one format.

Rocket League 3v3 Team
Game description - Rocket League is a high-powered hybrid of arcade-style soccer and vehicular mayhem! Customize your car, hit the field, and compete in one of the most critically acclaimed sports games of all time!

On Thursday the Thomas Rocket League 3v3 Team won their first match 3-0 in a best of five format.

Apex Legends Team
Game description - Apex Legends is an online multiplayer battle royale game featuring squads of three players using pre-made characters with distinctive abilities, called "Legends", similar to those of hero shooters. Rules: 3v3, Best of 3

Overwatch2 Team

Interested in careers in the construction industry?
Are you interested in careers in the construction industry? If so please join us for an interactive construction field trip on October 19th. Students will be able to network with employers, apprenticeship programs and college representatives. There will also be hands-on activities and equipment demonstrations! Girls XC
The Girls will be competing in the Alden invitational this weekend.
Boys XC
The Boys will be competing in the Alden invitational this weekend.
Girls Tennis
The Individual Sectionals will take place Friday. Cassie S is competing in 1st singles. The team of Abby R and Destinee L will be competing in 1st doubles.
Boys Soccer
The boys traveled to Fairport Tuesday evening. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. The Titans goal was scored by Logan B off an assist from Quinn H. Patrick K was outstanding in goal and the defense was anchored by Kyle S and Will R.
The Boys defeated Gates Chili Thursday night 3-2. Quinn H had 2 goals including converting on a PK. Conner G had the other Titan goal.
Girls Soccer
The girls traveled to Fairport Wednesday evening and picked up a 6-1 win. Scoring goals for the Titans were Catherine R with 3. Maggy A , Sophie E and Olivia S each had a goal in the win.
The Girls host Gates Chili today at 5pm.
Field Hockey
The Field Hockey Team suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday evening 1-0 to perennial power house Pittsford Mendon.
The Field Hockey Team beat Irondequoit 5-0.
Olivia B Kristina F, Sophia S, Alexis E, Kennedi S each had a goal. Kennedi S also had 1 assist, Frankie R had 2 assists.
Girls Volleyball
The girls played at Fairport Wednesday evening. They lost in three games but kept things close. Chloe S had 9 kills and 11 digs. Jolie O’ had 14 assists and 4 digs. Sarah G had 5 kills and 8 digs. Jordyn L had 16 digs on the night.
Boys Volleyball
Webster boys volleyball suffered a loss last night at Fairport in three sets. Nick A and Bodey G distributed the offense with 25 assists and 10 digs in three sets. Gavin T and Ryan W combined for 12 kills and 6 blocks.
Webster boys volleyball struggled through some adversity but overcame Rush-Henrietta in five sets last night. Gavin T paced the Lakers with a team high 11 kills and 6 blocks. Sal A led the team with 14 digs. Nate Z contributed 9 kills and 7 digs, while Evan C and Ryan W powered down 7 kills apiece. Carter C, Bodey G, and Nick A distributed a combined 43 assists. Circle the date...a huge home match against rival Penfield kicks off at 7:30 on Monday in the Schroeder gym.
Girls Swim and Dive
The Lakers swam vs Pittsford Tuesday evening. They lost a hard fought meet 115-85. First place finishers included Kylie W with a 2:17.81 in the 200 IM. Marin B in the 100 Fly and the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:03.50 and 1:12.01 respectively. The 400 Free relay team also place first with a time of 4:07.77
The Lakers hosted Canandaigua Thursday evening and beat them 114-71. Kylie W won the 100 free and 100 backstroke with a time of 54.78 and 1:00.53 respectively. Meghan M won the 50 Free with a 27.46. Melek O won both the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Breaststroke with times of 2:30.72 and 1:15.78. Melissa R won the 200 Free with a time of 2:12.82. Chloe S won the 500 Free with a time of 6:02.59. The Lakers’ 200 medley relay team won their race with a 2:01.44. The 200 Free relay team won their race with a 1:51.23
Football
The Football team will take on Churchville Chili Friday night in their Homecoming game. Game time 7:45pm
Cheer
Will compete in the Penfield Game Day Invitational Saturday.

Sectionals for our varsity teams will be taking place Starting next week 10/16.

Once the last regular season game is completed, you can find sectional information on the Section V website (https://sectionv.org/). Click on the "Sports" tab and then the sport you are looking for. Once on that sports page, there is a tab "Sectionals" that will list brackets, games, times, etc.
There will be a fee for some sectional events (see below). This is also listed on the Section V website, under the "Ticket" tab.
You can purchase digital tickets from the Section V website listed above. Click on the "Ticket" tab and then click "purchase tickets". The purchasing ticket link will only be live once the teams and dates have been set. Once the game is added to our calendar, a ticket link will be added to that particular game.
