Specialist Spotlight
The RBERN team would like to reintroduce one of it’s members Jessa Waterhouse. She recently received the title of Lead Resource Specialist and has been with the team since 2015. Before joining the RBERN she was teacher in the capital district for seven years. She holds a certification in Spanish 7-12 and TESOL K-12. She recently also completed her administrative certifications in School Building and District Leadership. She has experience working with districts on curriculum building for ELLs, understanding the ENL regulations, the new world language standards, the New York State Seal of Biliteracy, how to support students with interrupted formal education, and many other areas. She has also had the opportunity to share her knowledge at the regional, national and international level presenting for NYSEC, NCTE, NYSTESOL, NABE and TESOL International. She is looking forward to continuing to support the region with any ENL and world language needs.

TRANSLATION SERVICES:
Capital District RBERN displays a translation services list on their website. This list contains more than 80 language assistants offering about 19 or more languages.
