Happy Friday! We are looking forward to welcoming families to conferences at LRE next week. If you have questions about your child’s conference schedule please call the office. If you are coming to a conference please make sure to stop in the library where we will have some great learning activities for you to take home with you as well as some snacks and prizes.

In addition to conferences next week we have some other exciting things happening. On Monday we will have our leadership assembly recognizing students for the character trait of Cooperation. We will also introduce our new character trait for the month of April-stay tuned! On Friday we will be recognizing our students for SOARing at LRE with our SOAR store. This has been such a hit with students, they are excited to shop with their SOAR tickets every Friday. Please continue to keep encouraging students to follow SOAR expectations at LRE!

Elementary spring parent/teacher conferences are taking place March 28 and 29. On these days, elementary schools release students according to their early dismissal schedule, which varies by school. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Middle and high schools remain on their normal full-day schedule.

Note: On these early dismissal days, afternoon bus stop drop-off times will be 3.5 hours earlier than when students are currently dropped off.

Elementary early release for March 28 and 29

• 11:40 a.m.: Crestwood, Daffodil Valley, Liberty Ridge, Maple Lawn, Victor Falls

• 11:50 a.m.: Sumner Early Learning Center

• 12:15 p.m.: Bonney Lake, Donald Eismann, Emerald Hills, Tehaleh Heights

Do you know a child who will be five years old on or before Aug. 31? Maybe it's your neighbor, friend or even your own child. Now’s the time to enroll kindergarten students for the 2023-24 school year. The sooner you enroll, the better we can keep you informed.

New immunization requirements

New requirements are in effect for students in preschool and kindergarten who are four years old or older on Sept. 1. Learn about the requirements, documentation, exceptions and more.

The Sumner-Bonney Lake School District has entered into a new partnership with Right At School, a nationally-recognized school enrichment provider for before- and after-school care for elementary-aged students at all of our elementary schools and the Sumner Early Learning Center starting with the 2023-24 school year. Registration for Right at School is now open.

About Right at School

Right at School provides families flexibility in enrollment options and a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged while they participate. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework assignments.

• Childcare available during breaks, non-school days, and summer
