From the Principal's Desk
October 17, 2022
Greetings FWAFA Family,
Hope your week is off to a great start!
Under guidance from the Governor, the Texas Education Agency has put into place a state-wide Intruder Detection audit program. FWAFA was contacted by a Texas Education Agency designee from Region 11 that we will be audited sometime in October.
During the audit, 3 random doors will be checked that they are locked. The auditor will not pose a threat during the audit. After the initial 3 doors are checked, the auditor will walk the campus with the Principal and School Resource Officer to check the remaining doors. The auditor will have a yellow clipboard so that they are easily identifiable.
We have talked to our students extensively in assembly about the Intruder Detection Audit, the importance of keeping all doors closed at all times, and the importance of not opening the door for anyone.
Please help us reinforce the importance of school safety as it relates to door closure at home with your student.
Lots of fun things happening at our school in the upcoming weeks! Check it out below.
Have a magnificently Magical Week!
Creatively yours,
Dr. Jackson

There is a fee to reserve the space so vendors can keep all profits made from their sales that evening (although donations to our department based on your success would be greatly appreciated).

We need your help. We have spent 4 months trying to find bus drivers to drive for our events, field trips, and performances. We have tried Facebook ads, Indeed, Linked-In, specific education websites, and nothing has materialized. We've had several interviews and just haven't found the right people.
We need your help. Please, if you or someone you know would be willing to drive the busses for our amazing students, we would love to talk to you.
If we can't find someone(s), then we might be in a position to charge for field trips and performances to rent charter busses.
If you know someone, please forward them our HR Specialist, Mica Wolf's email at mica.wolf@artsacademics.org.
The position is as-needed because we don't have a normal bus route. The pay is competitive. If you're willing to be trained, we might be able to help pay for your training.
