Welcome to our weekly newsletter for Columbus Elementary families! Every Friday we will share good news, important information, and of course our STAR STUDENTS with you.
Week in Review
It has been an exciting week of learning at Columbus. On Tuesday, we had an assembly program for all grades that was centered around the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement. The presenters utilized music and dance to deliver this important message. Thank you again to the PTA for all of their support of these enriching programs for our students. Throughout the week students completed the mid-ear benchmark assessments in both reading and math. Our fifth graders had the opportunity to take a short practice test centered around the new state science assessment coming this spring. Please see some pictures and a video below in the around Columbus section
