Instructional Focus

Learning Environment: Dimension (3.1 Classroom Environment, Routines and Procedures)
This week we will focus on organizing a safe, accessible, and efficient classroom. Consider having rituals and routines in place while supporting students as they transition [back] into their learning environment. Consider the procedures that primarily rely on student leadership and responsibility. This is particularly important when considering the implementation of differentiated instruction and small group (TIER I) activities. Before break, our students were comfortable and festive and many times in the last couple of weeks they were more lax than in a traditional setting. Let's dedicate this week to re-establishing norms with our kids...in and out of the classroom.
LOOK FOR's and What to Consider:
The video below touches on some wonderful aspects of the Learning Environment. Some examples of this are creating a safe and welcoming place that is reliable, predictable and calm.
MOY TTESS Student Growth Tracker
Questions to consider for completing student growth tracker.
Are my students progressing towards targets?
What instructional strategies have been particularly successful in helping students progress on this skill?
Which particular students (or groups of students) have made the most progress? Which have made the least? Why might this be the case?
Where could I use additional support or ideas from my colleagues?
Reminder to collect evidence of progress and upload to your profile on Eduphoria.
Please reach out should you have any questions or need support.
