Crazy Sock day is coming up on March 3rd. Wear your crazy socks to support our Unified Sports Teams - the Yetis. Also stop by the tables by Raptor Gym March 3rd during lunch to learn more about how you can participate in spring sports.

Spring sports include: Soccer, Swimming, Cycling, Bocce, Golf, and Track & Field.

8481X Bridger Bot brought home some hardware last weekend, they won the top prize of Excellence Award at the Pikes Peak Robotics Classic located in Colorado Springs. This qualifies them for the World Championship that will be held in Dallas, TX in April. Good luck!

Smiles Across Montana (SAM) is a mobile preventative dental program that will be providing preventative dental services at Gallatin High School. SAM is a nonprofit organization with the mission of improving oral health disparities in Montana. If you would like your student to be seen, or you are a staff member who would like to be seen, please fill out the consent form below and return it to the main office or the nurse's office. Once your consent form is received, you will receive a follow-up phone call or text to further evaluate what services you may need.

Last week twenty students from Okinawa visited Gallatin High as part of the Okinawa Global Leadership Program through MSU.

Do you have any old sheet music lying around your house? Maybe you took up piano, but no longer play?

The Gallatin Music Department would love to take any of that old music off your hands. We are looking for music of all types: solo music and small ensemble (chamber group) music for band instruments, vocal, and/or string solo/ensemble music. Please send any music to GHS attention Jeffrey Ruffcorn. Mr. Ruffcorn will look it over and we'll use it to add to our GHS collection or share with middle or elementary music teachers.

Costco has asked us to share that students under the age of 18 will no longer be allowed to eat lunch in the food court without their own membership card.

As you have read in a recent communication from Superintendent Bertram, the high school consensus team made up of teachers and administrators from both high schools recently wrapped up five full days of consensus work, culminating in a recommended change to the high school schedule beginning in 2024-2025. The high school consensus group settled on an A/B alternating eight-period block schedule in which teachers teach six of eight blocks over two days. Principals from both high schools are planning opportunities to discuss the proposed high school schedule with multiple student and parent groups, such as StuCo, the PAC, and the Boosters.

A community forum for all interested students and parents/guardians will be held at the following times:

Representatives from the high school schedule consensus group are scheduled to present and discuss the proposed schedule with the BSD7 Board of Trustees on March 6, 2023.

Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to share questions and feedback via this survey throughout the winter and spring. You can also contact GHS principal, Erica Schnee, with any questions.

Do you have time to volunteer one hour/week with a student in the Bozeman Public Schools? Sign up to be a CAP Mentor and assist a student with social/ emotional skills, academics, and provide opportunities for enrichment like practicing sports, working on art projects, and playing games.
