Dual Language Meetings for Incoming Kindergarten Families
Informational meetings about District 47's Dual Language program will be held in February and March for parents/guardians who have an incoming kindergarten student for the 2024-2025 school year. Information regarding the program, as well as the lottery selection process will be shared. If you are interested in placing your child into the program and you do not have a child currently enrolled in the dual language program, attendance is required at one of these meetings. You may join the meeting in-person or via Zoom. To view the meeting dates, click here.
People in Need Forum
McHenry County College will host the annual People in Need Forum on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This year the event will feature a youth track and sessions for middle and high school parents on bullying, teen dating and domestic violence, and QPR for youth. Free registration is available at www.mchenry.edu/PIN.
ParentVue Reminder
ParentVue is a secure Internet-based communications tool connected to the District 47 student database that allows parents/guardians to participate more directly in their students' learning and school lives. Use ParentVue to see student schedules, communicate with teachers, view Progress Reports, pay student fees, and certain assessment information, such as Fastbridge. Parents also notify any absences for their students via Parentvue.
Another important feature is to confirm enrollment for your student(s) for the next school year during our Online Enrollment window in the Spring.
We encourage ALL parents/guardians to activate their ParentVue account if they have not already done so. If you need assistance, please contact us at 815-788-5750, or contact the district Help Desk at hd@d47.org or 815.788.5080.
