Greetings Titan Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Elkins Pointe Middle School. Elkins Pointe will be hosting Information Day on Thursday, August 4th. For the convenience of our families, we will be hosting a morning session and an afternoon session. Families can pick which session works best for their schedule. The first day of school is Monday, August 8th.
Please see the back-to-school information below to get the Titans off to an excellent start. Please donate to the PTSA annual campaign and "Team Up with the Titans!" I invite all parents, teachers/staff, and students to join our fabulous PTSA because they go above and beyond to support our Titans!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Information Day and to starting another excellent year!

INFORMATION DAY IS AUGUST 4TH!
Elkins Pointe will be hosting our Information Day on Thursday, August 4th.
- Morning Session from 9:30 am - 11:30 am
- Afternoon Session from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

NOTE: The purpose of Information Day is for parents and students to walk through the stations to submit the necessary papers (i.e., proofs of Residency for 6th and 7th grades), pay the necessary fees, get the locker assignment, and to complete Title I documents.
This is NOT a Drop-Off Event!
Parent, guardian, or adult/family member must accompany the student.
Please allow ample time to go through all the stations in the gym, media center, atrium, and in the school.
Parking for Information Day
Do NOT park in Fire Zones (curbs marked in red) or Loading Zone (located behind the school on the side of the track/field). Vehicles in these areas will be ticketed/towed.
Overflow parking will be at Hembree Springs and Hembree Park.
Student Schedules
Schedules will be available:
- Schedules are expected in Infinite Campus (Parent Portal and Student Portal) by the morning of August 4th.
- Students will be given a paper copy of their schedule at Information Day/Open House on August 4th.
- On the first day of school, all students will be given a schedule in their 1st-period on the school day. New to the school students (i.e., 6th graders) will also be given a school building map.
What Happens on Information Day?
- Students will be issued their locker number & combination ($10 fee).
- Students can bring items to store in their locker.
- Students will be issued their Titan agenda ($10 fee).
- Students can walk their schedule in preparation for the first day of school.
- Students will receive their unofficial schedule.
- Students, parents, and family members can join our PTSA.
- Parents can deposit money in cafeteria accounts and set up Free & Reduced Meal Plans.
- Parents can go to www.fulton.schoollunchapp.com to start a meal application.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
Proofs of Residency Required for...
The Fulton County Schools Board Policy list for proof of residency consists of the following.
- PROOF OF RESIDENCY REQUIRED: Entry to Elementary, Middle, and High School: All students entering Kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade in Fulton County Schools will be required to submit proof of residency as outlined above prior to the start of the aforementioned grades.
- PROOF OF RESIDENCY REQUIRED:Mid-Point of Enrollment: All students entering 2nd grade, 7th grade, and 10th grade will be required to submit proof of residency as outlined above prior to the start of their enrollment in the aforementioned grades.
ELKINS POINTE STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING PROOFS TO OPEN HOUSE.
- 6TH GRADE: ALL students require Two Proofs of Residency (see below)
- 7TH GRADE - ALL student require Two Proofs of Residency (see below)
- 8TH GRADE - Only if the student has changed residence.

- All 6th grade students must present two (2) proofs of residency and Immunization Form 3231.

FCS APPROVED PROOFS: Two current proofs of residency are collected from all 6th-grade students upon entering middle school.

IMMUNIZATION & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR 7TH GRADE:
All rising 7th grad students must complete the following:
- HEALTH FORM 3231: Immunization Requirement: 1 dose of Tdap and 1 dose of Meningococcal. If coming from out of state, immunizations must be transferred over to Georgia Georgia Health Form #3231.
- HEALTH FORM 3300: Ear, Eye, Dental Requirement: Have a pediatrician and dentist complete Georgia Health Form #3300

UNABLE TO COME TO INFO DAY?
If you and your child cannot attend Information Day, please read the instructions below.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL STEPS FOR STUDENTS NOT AT PRESENT AT OPEN HOUSE:
1) AGENDA & LOCKER FEE: Please pay the Agenda & Locker fees using Online School Payments.
- Send your child to school with a printout of the email confirmation/receipt.
- Students will need to give proof of payment to their 1st-period/WINN teacher to get their locker combination card and agenda.
- This applies to ALL grades.
- If unable to attend the open house, please send forms with your child on the first day of school.
3) FOR 7TH GRADE IMMUNIZATION AND HEALTH FORMS
- All 7th grade students must present Immunization Form 3231 and Georgia Health Form #3300.

BREAKFAST & LUNCH MEAL PLANS
Free & Reduced Meal Applications SY22-23
The Free & Reduced Meal Benefits Program is a part of the National Child Nutrition Program. This program makes Free or Reduced priced meals available to qualifying households. Qualifications are based on the gross income of all household members and the number of persons living in the house. A new application must be completed every school year. If there is an interruption in benefits or the household does not reapply, the household is responsible for payment of meals until the Free and Reduced Application is approved.

"Here Comes the Bus" is a free, easy-to-use website and app that enables you to see the location of your child’s school bus on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. This way, you know when the bus is near your stop, so you can send your child out at just the right time. No more worrying about whether your child has missed the bus!

- Click the "Sign Up" button
- Enter school code: 87428
- Click "Next" followed by "Confirm"
- Complete the "User Profile" box
- Under "My Students," click "Add." Enter your child's last name and student ID number
