LETTER FROM DR. WALDRIP
Dear PTA Members,
The holiday season in Frisco ISD is a special time for students and schools to think about how better to serve the community. The generosity of our PTA and each campus community is absolutely astounding.
Several campuses are holding clothing drives for Frisco Threads or food drives for Frisco Family Services. Some classes, campuses, and departments have adopted “angels” through the With Love It’s a Small World charity to ensure families have a joyful and memorable holiday season. Others are gathering candy to send to troops overseas. The acts of kindness are so heartwarming and admirable.
In a similar way, fine arts musicians and choir students are preparing to serve the community artistically through winter concerts, musical performances, and so much more. Click here to find the jam-packed fine arts calendar.
All this to say, I am so thankful for our students and their families who go out of their way to listen to the needs of the community and respond. This is a season of coming together to serve the greater good and I am so proud that our campuses lead the community through example.
If you find yourself in a place of need this season, the campus counselors have a wealth of resources to support you and your children. Don’t hesitate to reach out because the more students' basic needs are supported, the more likely they are to arrive on campus ready to learn.
I want to express my gratitude to you, the PTA members, for your continued support of students, their teachers, and the campus as a whole. You go out of your way to seek out opportunities for enriching experiences for students and our entire district is better for it.

LETTER FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT
Hello Frisco ISD Families!
Happy holidays!
I can’t believe that Winter Break is fast approaching and we will have completed our first semester of school! This year has brought so many successes. I love how all of the campuses have gotten back in the groove to continue great events and add new activities and traditions.
Membership has been a shining star this school year which is so impactful with a legislative session so close. As of today, we are 124 members away from an increase in the District with 38 campuses already seeing an increase over last year!! Keep up the great work! This will help us use our voice to advocate for all of the students with the legislators in February at Rally Day!
The spring semester is going to bring so many great activities from Rally Day to our Community Family Fair. Plus we are planning great celebrations for all the successes of PTA and to send off those PTA scholarship winners with all of our love and support. But before we can do all those great things, I hope you will take time over winter break to recharge and rest. I hope you can spend time with your families and friends and enjoy a little slower pace. Council will be unplugging for just a bit but we are always here for you and the students!
Looking forward to hearing about all of the holiday celebrations and seeing all of you in the new year!
Happiest of holidays to all of you and your families!
Yours truly,
Terri Palmer, President
