Principal's Message
Hello Springwater Students and Families,
What a great first week! Our 9th graders are quickly acclimating to high school and it was wonderful to welcome back our 10th, 11th, and 12th graders! Thank you to everyone for your patience as First Student sorted out bus routes and problem-solved issues as they arose this week. Each day should get a little smoother.
If you haven't had a chance to sit down and take a look at CANVAS with your students, I recommend having them give you an overview of their classes and assignments. Remember this year parents can access CANVAS and see all of their students' classes and assignments without needing to have their student log into the system. Please see more information below or contact the office if you need help.
On Monday we will have our first Advisory class. Each class is going to take on a different project throughout the building/campus to help spruce things up. Prior to COVID, all GBSD schools had Fall Community Care Days to lighten up the school campuses prior to students' return. We hope to utilize our advisory class time to help fill this void throughout the school year.
Academic after school support also begins on Monday. Students can sign up to stay after school to get help on their assignments and then take an activity bus home at 3:30pm.
In addition to helping take care of our own school community, we plan to continue to give back to the greater community this year. On Friday, September 30th we will be heading to Hogan Butte to do some habitat restoration and park beautification. Thank you to everyone who has completed field trip permission forms!
I am excited about this school year and getting to see all the positive energy of our students this past week has only strengthened my optimism! I love the community that is Springwater! As always, please reach out if you have questions or concerns!
Stay safe and take care,
Ryan Blaszak

Whenever the office is not notified of an absence, a call is made home via the automated calling system. If the student is going to be out more than three days, you can call the office or email your student's teachers with a request for homework. If your student is going to be out of school for extended period of time due to a vacation or some other event, please have him/her complete a Pre-arranged Absence Form. If your student needs to leave school early or arrive late due to appointments, please call the office or send a note to excuse their absence.
