Running Club Announcment

Fall Session of Running Club comes to a close last Friday. What a great time seeing students getting and staying active. Some students are already at the Marathon level(26.2 miles!) Those students that have reached 13.1 miles this Fall will receive an extra recess(Date TBD). At the end of the year we’ll have many more prizes so make sure they stay ready to run this Spring and rack up the miles!

The Fun Run is in 5 days! We’re still in need of 15 volunteers to each work a station along the 5K route, cheer on students and stamp their arms as they run back to the school! Please sign up at http://valeriuselementarypto.bringit.bz/public/fbf356.

Salvation Army- Winter Coats

The Salvation Army Store is offering free winter coats (one per family member) this weekend, Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th from 9AM to 9:PM both days at every Salvation Army Store in Des Moines, Clive, Ames and Ankeny. I do not know if each family member must be present, or any details other that what is highlighted in yellow.
