Our POP fundraiser has had a successful start. THANK YOU to all the Panther families for supporting this fundraiser. We truly appreciate your support.

Please continue sharing your child's donation page with your family and friends. We will celebrate this amazing fundraiser on our DAY OF AWESOME on November 2nd. This fundraiser runs from September 26- October 11th.

VPK celebrated the end of our first Unit by teaching their teddy bears all about the rules and routines in the VPK classroom. It was a great day full of fun and learning!

Art Club for 4th & 5th grade students will begin in October. If your child is interested in auditioning, please have them fill out the pink form that was sent home the week of 9/25. Art Club is limited to 22 students and will take place on Thursdays from 2:15-3:15.

Chess Club will begin on October 24th for our intermediate grades. Congratulations to all our panthers who made the club. Good luck competing!

Florida Future Educators of America has started for our wonderful 5th-grade students. This organization will help prepare the "Teachers of Tomorrow" by giving them the opportunity to assist the primary grade teachers with their morning lessons. Thank you to all our students and teachers for participating in this endeavor.

Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families, and communities. The effort has become a hallmark of the afterschool movement and generates media coverage across the country each year. We are incredibly grateful and proud of our CCES Aftercare program led by Mrs. Ross & Ms. Farley. Thank you to ALL of our OUTSTANDING Counselors!

Thank you to our AMAZING PTO for helping our Panthers on September 28th on picture day. They truly helped make this day run so smoothly. We truly appreciate EVERYONE who helped on this day! If your child was absent from school; November 14th is Fall Picture Day Make-Up. It is also picture day for all of the first grade.

Picture Day was held on Thursday, September 28th! The First-grade students will take their pictures on November 14th. Citrus Cove Elementary had a MAGNIFICIENT evening at Chuck E. Cheese. It was so nice to see all our Panther families at Family Night. We had a BLAST! We will see you at the next Family Night!

The Showcase of Schools for the 2023-2024 school year will take place at The Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds on October 17, 2023, from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. Applications will be available on November 1, 2023, for the 2024-2025 school year. If your child is in 5th grade this is an event, you do not want to miss! Explore Choice programs from over 125 elementary, middle, and high schools.

You are invited to Fall in LOVE with Bak Middle School on Saturday, October 7th from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. There will be 3 different sessions to choose from, each highlighting student performances and a sneak peek of the art area where the magic happens!

The Tech Lab is up and running. Mr. Koesten is teaching our students how to use creativity and innovation when using technology and hands-on engineering methods.

Ms. Watts' First Grade Class celebrated DOT Day for the 20th Anniversary of the book The Dot.

The Dot is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing, which has gone on to inspire countless children and adults around the globe.

Second grade is having so much fun learning about Plants and Animals in their Habitats! Second grade participated in Habitat Week to further enrich their reading unit of study. Each second-grade class completed an activity of their choice related to an animal from a specific habitat!
