Complete Your Family File Today!
It is time to update your child's Family File information in HCPSS Connect! Family File provides emergency contact and other important information for students within the Howard County Public School System. Completing Family File also ensures you are receiving importation information and updates for HCPSS and Fulton Elementary Elementary. This information must be updated EACH school year for EACH child.
A video tutorial that explains the Family File process and written Family File directions can be found below:
If you have not completed your Family File for the current school year, please complete the following as soon as possible:
- Log in to HCPSS Connect https://www.hcpss.org/connect/
- Select the Family File tab
- Then click on Family File
Once logged in, parents/guardians will be asked to provide or update the following information:
- Student information
- Parent/guardian contact
- Emergency contacts
- Medical information
- Arrival/dismissal procedures
- Media release (photo approval)
- Data confidentiality
- PTA/PTSA directory
Changes of address may not be made through Family File. If you have recently moved, please contact FES at 410-880-5957 as soon as possible as we need to update your address in our files as well. Parents who have forgotten their login credentials for Family File may click the “Forgot Password” link on the sign-in page. If you need additional assistance, please call the school at 410-880-5957.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Arrival and Dismissal Procedures.
- Be mindful there will be increase of walkers and car riders
- For safety, we are reducing access to the RHS parking lot. Abide by Do Not Enter signs and cones.
- LKMS will be dismissing 20 minutes earlier than FES. As such, it is important that parents/guardians do not line up too early- you will be in the middle of dismissal.
- Ensure that you follow the intended carloop path to Cedar Lane to turn around. Do not use the LKMS parking lot to turn around, this will add congestion with their student and staff dismissal.
School Meals for SY23-24
Lunch
For the 2023-2024 school year, students whose families do not qualify for free or reduced lunch will be required to pay the daily meal price.
- Breakfast - $2.00
- Lunch - $2.80
To get breakfast and lunch, your child will be assigned a pin number. We ask that you practice with your child at home so they confidently order their breakfast/lunch during the school day.
