The Talbot Sunday Update
November 19, 2023
Thank You!
- Thank you to our PTO for the fabulous lunch they provided for staff on our conference day. It was delicious and greatly appreciated by all.
- Thank you to Gerald Talbot who recently stopped by with a donation of books for our school library.
- Thank you to our families for participating in student conferences and learning more about all the learning that is happening at Talbot.
Reminder!
Maine Audubon Visits Pre K Classrooms
The Maine Audobon visited our preschool programs last week. Our learners had the opportunity to interact with nature. The visit also works to foster stewardship and empathy, increase science knowledge and cognitive skills, and promote growth and development across learning domains.
Weather and Recess
At Talbot, unless it is raining, we are committed to getting children outside to play each day. When it is cold, we use the Child Care Weather Watch Chart (attached below) to determine if it is safe for children to be outside. If it is safe to go outside, it is very important that children come to school each day prepared for the elements with winter jackets, hats and gloves.
If your family has difficulty obtaining winter clothing for your child, please let us know. We have a wonderful support network that is more than happy to support children who are in need of appropriate winter clothing.
