September Full Harvest Moon
If you've ever taken an evening car ride or just so happened to catch a glimpse of the starry sky during the early months of fall, you may have noticed the harvest moon. Unlike other full moons, the harvest moon is a little different in both its color and timing, making this moon phase incredibly striking. The harvest moon takes place during the autumnal equinox, when the sun crosses the celestial equator from north to south at the start of autumn. The Harvest Moon earned its name because of the moonlight that occurs early in the evenings, leaving farmers with more time to harvest their summer-grown crops.
The full harvest moon will rise on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 5:59 a.m. ET. The 2022 harvest moon is in Pisces.
September's harvest moon will have the signs feeling a little uneasy, but it does offer an opportunity for a fresh start. This particular moon's closeness to the autumnal equinox means that it is symbolic of new beginnings and a door to spiritual awareness, On the other hand, with the Piscine energy of this full moon, you may experience a bit of a feeling of insecurity and a feeling like you're being too perceptive."
In order to prepare yourself for these particular feelings that come from a Pisces sign, it's best to try to relax. During the harvest moon, it's best to slow down, wait, and see what happens in your life. Enjoy the beautiful September sunsets, look back at your achievements, and take a deep breath . . . the tricky bit is nearly over!"The Hummingbird
The hummingbird spirit reminds us to welcome diversity in our lives and to honor the richness of variety. Too much routine has the potential to drag us down and put things on autopilot, so we stop evolving. The hummingbird spirit is the antithesis of falling into a rut!
Family
September is such a great month of the year. With September comes that crisp, fresh air with a slight chill in its breath, whispering of the cold to come. The leaves change up our streets from blankets of green into glorious transient masterpieces of awesome color that seem to change just a little each day until one day the wind blows the canvas clean for another year. The children are all decked out in their new school clothes, the school buses make a grand re-entrance in morning traffic, and the sound of children’s laughter as they play returns to schoolyards everywhere. It’s easy to find Spirit in September because everything is so alive, and so beautiful, and so new. It’s like New Year and spring and even an art exhibit all at once. This September, perhaps it would do us all well to take some time to think about what is holding us back from a fresh start. Is it time to give up a bad habit? To devote more of our precious time to those in our lives who need that time more than we do? Whatever the case may be, I hope that we all experience the excitement, the freedom, and the beauty that come of the fresh start that Spirit unfailingly offers to us all.
Ring the bells that still can ring,
Forget your perfect offering.
There’s a crack in everything,
That’s how the light gets in.
As we exit the month of August and wind down the summer we reflect the beauty and excitement it has brought our family. It has been a warm August here in our part of the country. Rain was plentiful but only adding to the humidity when done. There is something to be said for being inside and watching a good storm approach from the west coming over the mountains eventually hearing the start of rain on the back porch. Both Patrick and Jaiden started back to school with Patrick starting earlier than Jaiden. Shopping is always a big event in August as we head out and start the process of new clothes, shoes and binders, pencils, erasers, paper etc. Our son worked his first job this summer and to help him understand the importance of money we split the cost of everything needed to start school.
It was quite an eye opener and learning experience for him. He entered into high school this year starting the ninth grade. He was excited to start this next chapter of his life. We put our home on the market and was pleasantly surprised to see it sell in a day. We managed to travel one last time before school started with a quick trip into the mountains. Our Belgium Springer Spaniel (named Trouble) has been travelling with us all summer. He is quite the traveler looking out the window or sleeping his way from point to point.
I have prattled on long enough. Thank you for your support , your encouragement and your kindness. With warm embraces.
Love,
Ed

Questions and Counsel
Dear Katelyn,
Will I ever become healed? I feel like I’m always working on myself.
Sincerely
Tired
TIRED! HI! Yes! The perfect way to end, I am… tired. Learning and understanding ourselves can be so, as you perfectly put it, tiring. Will you ever be healed? Simply put, no. There’s a start to healing ourselves but there is no finish line. There is no end here. We are multidimensional beings so there will always be more parts of ourselves to understand and uncover. We are always learning and always healing. My best advice to aid in helping you feel like you are always working on yourself is learn how to celebrate yourself. Celebrate that where you are right now is the most perfect healed version of yourself (until the next lesson and integration).
Celebrate and live your life knowing that the lessons and parts of yourself you need to heal will find out. All you have to do is to be ready to observe.
Rest and have some fun,
Katelyn

What does a White Aura Mean
Auras are believed to be the unseen energy field around all living things. And depending on your energy, these fields manifest as different colors. Though most of us cannot see auras with our eyes alone, there are ways to figure out their color compositions, like having an aura portrait taken, for example, or taking a quick aura quiz to get an idea. Of all the tones, shades, and hues an aura can be, to have a white aura is particularly potent—and rare. Auras are always changing, but many people will have one or two colors consistently show up. Here, we break down what having a white aura is all about, plus what it means for love, professional success, and more.
Energetically speaking, white is thought to be a very high vibrational color, relating to pure light. White is the rarest of all aura colors and indicates purity, integrity and a high level of spirituality. Because it's associated with the crown chakra, it also relates to universal energy and oneness. Generally speaking, white auras will appear bright and glowing, which Kaiser says is associated with innocence, generosity, altruism, wisdom, as resistance to corruption, as well as healing capabilities, divine connection, and higher consciousness. But if the white appears dark or murky, this could indicate "naiveté, judgment, self-sacrifice to the extent of self-harm, and allowing others to deceive or manipulate them in the hopes of finding greater good."
Each of the seven main chakras is associated with a certain color in the color spectrum, starting with red at the root chakra, and ending with white or deep purple at the crown, which is all about accessing higher consciousness and enlightenment. Since the crown chakra is located at the top of the head or slightly above the head, someone with a white aura feels drawn to the higher spiritual world. They feel drawn to consciousness, connection to a higher power, wisdom, self-realization, presence, and self-awareness. If one's aura is bright white, this indicates their crown chakra is open—hence why this aura is so rare; not everyone gets around to unblocking their crown chakra in their lifetime. The key focus for them, is to live life that brings them closer to truth, purity, and authenticity. They search for meaning, purpose, and connection.
While it takes a certain level of spiritual development to unblock the crown chakra and have a white aura, these folks can still face their own set of challenges. Their purity, for example, can sometimes result in naiveté. Because they always wish to see the good in everything, they may sometimes be naive to other people's true intentions. People may take advantage of them through manipulation or dishonesty due to their innocence. And on top of that, being so spiritually connected can make it difficult to navigate reality. If they're living too high in the spiritual world, they may feel ungrounded and disconnected in the material world. They may also become too caught up in their spiritual ideas, becoming judgmental and close-minded.
Those with white auras are genuine and will see and love their partners for who they are. In relationships, they may make the well-being of others a priority over themselves. They love more deeply than many other people; it can be a lot of love for others to handle, especially if they don't love themselves. White auras also tend to place high importance on caring for others, feeling a sense of responsibility for others' well-being. So, someone with a white aura will feel drawn to a partner who understands their need to help others and why it is extremely important to them. they need to know their partner recognizes their purpose is a high priority, just as much as their relationship. And because white auras are very attuned to the spiritual world, Hira says they want a partner who's on the same wavelength as them.
Because those with white auras are so interested in healing and helping others, (more so than any other color), those are the careers they tend to go for. It's not uncommon to find them working in animal rescue, human rights, coaching, nursing, or therapy. Environmental work, holistic healing, charity work, and other things of that nature are common as well, Hira adds. They feel most alive when they're socially interacting with others in a working environment. When it comes to their purpose, they have a true passion to help others in life, and it usually acts as a priority above other areas of their life.
If you think someone in your life has a white aura and you're curious about how to best interact with them, the key to remember, according to Kaiser, is to respect and honor their priorities. They have a driving need to bring positive change to the world, and their loyal and moral nature can make others feel inferior. Additionally, people with white auras love deep conversation and would rather avoid the small talk. This is because they are always curious to grow, gain wisdom, and understand life and the meaning of it better, she says. Ultimately, though, folks with white auras are great people to have around, they're also people you can trust, as a white aura means someone has transcended the boundaries of the physical realm and that they haven't been tainted by the constructs of the material world. There's a reason white auras are so rare, with an undoubtedly special and ethereal quality about them. If you think your aura is white, be sure to combine a balance of grounding and spiritual practices to find harmony and balance between the material and the immaterial to keep that aura glowing bright.
Wellness
The autumn equinox marks the arrival of the season of fall, traditionally seen as a period of changes leading to the dark of winter. On the autumn equinox, day and night are of equal length. This signals the need to balance light and darkness within us. Far too often, we fear the dark and adore only the light. I gratefully acknowledge how darkness has become less of an enemy for me and more of a place of silent nurturance, where the slow, steady gestation needed for my soul's growth can occur. Not only is light a welcomed part of my life, but I am also developing a greater understanding of how much I need to befriend my inner darkness.
I heard a wonderful teaching story about accepting all situations where we are left in the dark without answers: “Once, when the Zen master Tokusan was still a student, he visited his teacher, Ryutan, just before sundown. They sat on the floor of Ryutan's hut, casually drinking tea and discussing Zen until deep into the night. At last, Ryutan said, 'Maybe it's about time you went home.' Tokusan bowed to his teacher and walked to the door. 'It's completely dark outside,' he said. Ryutan lit the lantern and said, 'Why not take this?' Just as Tokusan was about to take the lamp from his teacher's hands, Ryutan blew out the flame. Tokusan suddenly knew everything there was to know." Sometimes there is no remedy for our situation than to begin from a point of absolute darkness. Turning off a television set and extinguishing a lantern have certain similarities; they are both abrupt and transition making, and can leave us in a different world. In darkness, we are always on our own.
As we watch leaves fluttering to the ground in the fall, we are reminded that nature's cycles are mirrored in our lives. Autumn is a time for letting go and releasing things that have been a burden. All the religious traditions pay tribute to such acts of relinquishment. Fall is the right time to practice getting out of the way and letting Spirit take charge of our lives. We are challenged to learn about this. For what the actor tries to achieve on stage is to 'get out of the way' so that the character he or she is portraying can come fully out. So, too, the writer and the painter; they have to get out of the way of the flow of the work onto the paper and the canvas. Generosity has such power because it is characterized by the inner quality of letting go or relinquishing. Being able to let go, to give up, to renounce, to give generously — these capacities spring from the same source within us. When we practice generosity, we open to all of these liberating qualities simultaneously. They carry us to a profound knowing of freedom, and they also are the loving expression of that same state of freedom. Fall, then, is the perfect season to give generously of your time and talents to others.
Autumn reminds us of the impermanence of everything. We have experienced the budding of life in spring and the flowerings and profusions of summer. Now the leaves fall and bare branches remind us of the fleeting nature of all things. It has been suggested that when we contemplate fall's changes, we grow more appreciative of all the beauties that surround us: "The poet Wallace Stevens once wrote, 'Death is the mother of beauty.' What those words say to me is that we cherish the beauty of a sunrise, of a New England autumn, of a relationship, of a child's hug, precisely because those things will not be around forever and neither will we be around to enjoy them."
Fall also brings home to our consciousness death and the challenge to live every day to the fullest. I was once told that certain spiritual masters in Tibet used to set their teacups upside down before they went to bed each night as a reminder that all life was impermanent. And then, when they awoke each morning, they turned their teacups right side up again with the happy thought, 'I'm still here!' This simple gesture was a wonderful reminder to celebrate every moment of the day.
Remember the when you are brave and have an open heart, you have affection for this world — this sunlight, this other human being, this experience. You experience it nakedly, and when it touches your heart, you realize this world is very fleeting. So, it is perfect to say 'Hello means good-bye.' And also, 'My hope, hello again.'
