Centerville Families,

I wanted to send a friendly reminder about the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences at school. We are striving for 100 percent participation from all parents because your presence at these conferences is truly invaluable. It enables us to collaborate with you to support our child's growth and address any concerns or questions that may arise.

Just a quick recap of the details:

• Conferences will be held on October 10th and 12th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
• Registration closes on Monday, October 9th, at 7:00 AM.
• To register, please click the following link or the one provided below.

If you have any questions or require assistance with the registration process, please don't hesitate to reach out to the main office at 763-792-5800. They are more than willing to assist you with any questions or issues you may encounter.

If you pick up or drop off your child at school, please help us by filling in both lanes coming off of Main Street and then zipper merging after the last driveway without blocking the driveways.

How or where do you like to volunteer? This is my third year serving as the President of the CPTA. My favorite volunteer activities are the Book Fair and Back to School night.

Why did you decide to volunteer? I always knew I wanted to support the school through volunteering and the PTA had leadership needs that they were looking to fill. While I hadn't intended to jump into a Board position, I am grateful for the experience and the opportunity to help the organization grow.

What is your favorite part about volunteering? The kids. The parents. The staff. I love to be at the school and see my kids "in the wild". Over the past 2 years, we have worked to build an inclusive PTA community and our kids are a big part of that. We love nothing more than having our kids working at PTA sponsored events side by side with their grown ups.

Fall Book Fair – Save the Date!

• The Fall Book Fair will be open from 10/10 through 10/13, including shopping hours during conferences.

• Do you have a change in your end of day transportation for your child(ren)?
• Create an attendance form with "Early Release" - List 3:45 PM as the time and indicate in comments the change.
• End of day changes need to be submitted by 2:30PM.
  

Now that the hustle and bustle of a new school year has begun, don’t forget about your public library! Regular family trips will help you keep your home stocked with wonderful things for everyone to read. During your library visits, encourage your elementary schooler to check out a variety of reading materials, including:

• Books related to things your child is learning about in school.

• Audiobooks.

• Biographies about inspirational people.

• Graphic novels and comics.

• Magazines and newspapers.

• Books that are slightly above your child’s reading level to read together.

• Poetry collections.

• Nonfiction texts about your child’s interests and hobbies

• We are looking for the first day of school pictures of students! These pictures can be by themselves or with a group (at the bus stop, carpool lane, or at home!) The more pictures the better!! 🙂

The Centennial Area Food Shelf Powerpack Program supports families by sending home a weekend bag of breakfast items, individual meals, and snacks for school-age children. Power packs are delivered discreetly to students participating in the program. interested in receiving Powerpacks for your student(s)? Please contact your student's school to enroll.
