ELC Family Newsletter
October 2023
It's hard to believe the end of the first quarter is upon us! We have had an excellent start of the school year here at the Basehor-Linwood Early Learning Center. These past few weeks our students have worked really hard to nail down the routines in the building, engage in tons of learning opportunities, and have already grown a tremendous amount. I've included links to some helpful resources you can also use at home below in the newsletter.
We have also had great family events including our Open House and the Homecoming Parade! Thanks to all who participated in these fun events. There are MANY opportunities for family fun and for volunteering in the coming months. Please consider joining our PTO and participating in the upcoming events. The more volunteers we have, the better the events.
As you will see below in the newsletter, we have a lot coming up in the month of October. Please take time to look at the upcoming events and make note in your calendars. We will send out additional communication regarding our fall parties on October 31st around Parent-Teacher conference time.
Parent-Teacher conferences are approaching quickly. You will schedule a time with your child's teacher. We have had great attendance at our conferences and will continue to strive for 100% participation again this school year.
Thank you to all of our parents/guardians for completing the ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE2 screeners. I'm excited to share with you that we had 96% of our screeners completed! Results should be coming home with your child and teachers will be reaching out if your child fell in the monitor/refer categories in any areas.
Thank you to each of you for sharing your child with us during the most important years of their development. We appreciate the continued support as we strive to offer the best early childhood experience for your child(ren).
