SHARK SHOUTOUTS
- I would like to give a huge shark shout out to the village who supports me! To Janet Ferro for covering my class in a pinch, to Noel Martin and Kerri Robinson who swooped in to take over for Janet and finish the day. And of course Claire Hooper who always takes time to make sure the paperwork is in order and my back is covered. I wouldn't survive without your help, support and generosity. Thank you!! -Ms. Emily Jutras
Seeking Writers
The school newspaper, The Current, is looking for student writers to cover a vast amount of topics, from sports to entertainment to local news stories. You can write one article or 100 - that's up to you!
If you'd like to write for The Current but aren't sure what to write about, don't hesitate to reach out. Our newspaper staff has an ongoing list of topics that can be covered.
If you're interested in contributing, email Ms. Goyette at agoyette@monomoy.edu.
Monomoy Youth Voices Exhibition 2021 in February! (Virtual Opening/Launch Date TBD!)
The Monomoy Youth Voices Exhibition will be in February! (Virtual Opening/Launch Date TBD!)
The purpose of this showcase is to give our youth a platform to say what they want to say about topics they care about. We are inspired by the quote, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter". In a year where our lives have been turned upside down, I couldn't think of a more appropriate time to give our students the mic!
Students who wish to participate may also send their own works to aschuermann@monomoy.edu

ATHLETICS WEEKLY UPDATE
Winter sports finally kicked off their first week of practices on Tuesday night. A lighting issue in the gym on Tuesday didn't stop the boys and girls basketball teams from hitting the court hard. Boys and girls ice hockey hit the rink this week as well. All of our student-athletes are thrilled to be back playing the games they love despite the changes. They are taking it in stride. Basketball and Ice Hockey games kick off next weekend. Be sure to check out the livestream for basketball and ice hockey. Basketball games will be available on YouTube. A link will be posted on Twitter and the MRHS Athletics Website. Ice Hockey will be available on Livebarn.
We look forward to seeing our student-athletes in action!
