Anderson Weekly News! 2/7/22
Including Important Message from Mr. Jarot
Dear Anderson Families,
Based on the events of the last few days, our district and school have had to implement several changes to our daily processes and procedures. During the emergency day, our school staff planned for a return to school that provides for our students and families to feel safe and comfortable.
As a result of the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued on Friday, we want to outline what families can expect when students arrive at school tomorrow.
As always...Your child will be greeted by a friendly, kind, and caring Principal, Teacher, and Support Staff. Your child's hard work will be celebrated, their learning will be prioritized, and we will continue to focus on building their joy of belonging at Anderson School!
District 303 is recommending, but not requiring mask usage for all students and staff members
Masks are required on any school-based transportation, including all school buses, due to a Federal Order
All other mitigation strategies will continue such as:
three feet social distancing in classrooms
six feet social distancing when eating
appropriate hand hygiene
cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
enhanced ventilation systems
Per the Kane County Health Department, students and staff who are experiencing COVID symptoms or test positive will still be excluded from school.
Due to the TRO, District 303 will not be contact tracing or excluding close contacts.
Students or staff who are currently excluded due to being a close contact may choose to return to school effective Tuesday, February 8th.
SHIELD Testing will continue to be available for those who choose to participate.
As always, if your child is ill, please make sure to keep them home.
People of all ages benefit from predictability and routine. In times like these, it can feel difficult to find; however, there are some ways we can provide this for our students and schools. Based on the current court order, it is certain some students will come to school with masks while others will not. Students may be naturally curious about these differences and have questions. Please take this opportunity to talk to your children about ways in which we can all promote kindness, respect, and empathy for everyone in our school environment.
All members of our school community are committed to providing our students with positive learning experiences in an environment that promotes a sense of belonging. We appreciate your trust, patience, and understanding as we continue to navigate through this together.
As you know, our theme for the year is "Welcome Home". Home is a place you feel safe, a place you can be yourself, a place you are respected and supported. That is who we are, that is how we will engage with all our students as they come back to school. "Welcome Home"
Sincerely,
Mr. Jarot
Principal

Your feedback helps us celebrate and improve!
Every year, District 303 conducts a satisfaction survey eliciting feedback from our students, teachers, and parents. This year, as part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), we will now be participating in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. As a parent or guardian, this survey will provide you with the opportunity to share your thoughts on important elements of school effectiveness about your child’s school.
We need at least 20% of our families to take this survey. You know Mr. Jarot will be overly friendly and persistent until we meet our goal. :)
We value your feedback and appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your suggestions for improvement. To take the parent survey please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the appropriate survey. Click HERE for a more detailed letter.
Calling all future Kindergarten Students! Enrollment Starts Soon!
Please forward this to any neighbors who have preschool-aged children.
We can't wait to meet our new students.
