Cougar Families,

Thank you to everyone who donated snacks for our staff for the March faculty meeting. We are so appreciative to have such wonderful parents who support us! We are excited about the upcoming dance on Friday night and look forward to seeing our kids have a fun time!

Please remember students MUST have a current student ID badge and be in dress code to enter the dance. If students need to purchase an ID badge before Friday, they can do that in the library. We will also be enforcing dress code throughout the dance. The dance will end promptly at 9:00 PM. Out of respect for our staff who are trying to get home to their families, please be sure you are here to pick up your student at 9:00 sharp. We appreciate your support with this.

Unfortunately, we are still having parents dropping off and picking up in the front of the building, after numerous requests to leave that area for our buses. When parents get in the bus lanes, it slows down the bus drivers’ routes which impacts other students/campuses. Let’s work together to make sure and follow the drop off plans to make everything work. There are large systems in place to support the needs of all Allen ISD students, not just Curtis and we ask you to be aware of that.

STAAR is fast approaching so please mark your calendars and not schedule appointments on the following dates:

EVENT DESCRIPTION: On top of academic and social stress, the uncertainty and fears of this past pandemic year have brought all of us a lot more anxiety than before. Angst helps break this down, explaining what's going on and what we can do about it to help ourselves and others. It features World Champion Swimmer Michael Phelps, experts in the field and regular teenagers.

The dashboard link for the viewing will be shared with you on March 21st. The viewing will be available for you to watch anytime from March 21st- March 28th. Please note that this is not a ZOOM meeting, but an opportunity for you to view a resource during a time that works for your schedule.

Volunteers who work with AISD student groups and organizations will need to complete a volunteer application. These groups include, but are not limited to, PTA organizations, booster clubs, cheerleading squads, dance squads (athletic and fine arts) and any other AISD student organizations where adults will be working with students other than their own children at AISD sponsored events.

Allen ISD Council of PTAs Citizenship Awards are given out to volunteers who give their time and effort to support our schools. These individuals are nominated because they go above and beyond what is expected and make a difference for our children.
