Principal's Message
Dear St. Bernard of Clairvaux Community,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to you as the incoming principal of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic School. It is truly an honor to become a part of the St. Bernard’s family and community.
I come to you with 27 years of collective experience as an educator and administrator. I have served 23 years as a classroom teacher in both public and private school settings and the last four years I have served as Head of Lower and Middle School at Dallas Academy.
This summer, I will work closely with Father Gaston and the amazing office staff to ensure a smooth transition of leadership. I will get to know the community, the building and familiarize myself with the unique needs of the school. It is an exciting time of growth and change for St. Bernard and I anticipate a wonderful year as we continue to offer students an outstanding education in a faith centered environment. Together, we will create a year of excellence for all the children at St. Bernard as we focus on making our mission the core of our daily work. Whether you are a new St. Bernard family or a returning family, the year ahead is sure to be a rewarding experience for your child. A commitment toward working with, understanding and nurturing every child are some of the reasons why St. Bernard is such an exceptional place for children to learn and grow.
As principal, it is my responsibility to ensure that each child feels welcomed and connected to the St. Bernard Catholic community. As instructional leader, my focus is to promote the learning and success of all the students through authentic instruction delivered by highly qualified teachers. I will work closely with teachers, parents and students to nurture each child’s learning, development and faith formation. I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure your child achieves their highest potential.
I am so thankful to be a part of the St. Bernard Catholic community and look forward to getting to know you and your children. I will be working most days during this summer so please call or stop by to say hello.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
Blessings,
Laurie Senecal, M.Ed., LDT, CALT
