Let's Get Ready for Hybrid and All In-Person Learning!
Once again, I send sincere thanks for your compliments and your patience as we have all learned through technology challenges and other glitches with remote learning.
Your compliments of our teachers efforts is greatly appreciated.
We realize this has been anything but easy on your end at times.
As we approach the end (for now) of Remote Learning for those who selected In-Person Learning, we want to best prepare our students and families for Hybrid Learning.
Remember, during Hybrid Learning our In-Person learners (Those who selected to keep their child learning remotely will continued to do so) students will attend school two days a week - either Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday. The day your children attend school during Hybrid Learning is determined by your oldest child's (attending SMSD schools) last name.
Last Name A-Lamb Monday/Tuesday attendance
Last Name Lamc - Z Wednesday Thursday attendance
In some situations, you may have been asked to attend certain dates to balance class size.
Please reach out to your child's current teacher if you are uncertain which days they will be attending school during Hybrid Learning.

New Broken Arrow Building Safety Procedures
Please click here to review detailed information regarding changes in building procedures to keep students and staff safe.
Click on the YouTube video below demonstrating procedural changes featuring some people you know. :)
ESPECIALLY NOTE THE CHANGES IN DISMISSAL as that will be crucial to you receiving your child in a timely manner during dismissal. You will want to make sure you pick up on your assigned side of the building. If you just select the side of the building you want to go to, please expect long delays, which will cause delays for our other families. Please give grace to one another during dismissal and please pick up on your assigned side of the building.
Are you unsure of child's assigned side of the building?
You should have received your Family Number "tag" that has your number and your side of the building for pick up.
Family #100-199 Pick up your child in the front of the school.
Family #200-299 Pick up your child on the back side of the school.
If you switched from Remote Only Learning to In-person Learning and you do not have a Family Number please call our office and you can pick up your Family Number car tag Wednesday, September 30 through Friday, October 2.

Reminder to Please Complete Required Form in Skyward Today!
Shawnee Mission School District recently requested that all parents acknowledge three assurances regarding remote learning. The request comes because the Kansas State Department of Education recently changed its requirements for how we verify student learning and attendance. Once you acknowledge the three assurances, we will no longer need to require that students complete and parents sign a daily learning activity log, which would have gone into effect once we entered hybrid learning mode. Your help and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Please log on to Family Access to complete the form today if you have not already done so.
If this has been completed please disregard this information!
Espanol:
