June 3, 2023
Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
Summer break is underway, but I wanted to send this June newsletter to our Loveland Tiger Community to share all the good news that has happened since our May update.
On May 20, the 319 members of the Loveland High School Class of 2023 received their diplomas. Congratulations to all of those students and their families for their years of hard work to reach this important milestone. The ceremony at the Cintas Center was fantastic, and you can watch the recording by following this link.
We’ll be busy over the summer planning and preparing for our students to return to school in August. The district will once again have a staggered start.
Students with last names beginning with A-L will have their first day on August 16
Students with last names beginning with M-Z will have their first day on August 17
All students together on August 18, 2023.
The staggered start allows our students to start the year with more one-on-one attention to teach them new routines. It’s a change we’ve made over the past few years that students and families appreciate.
I hope all of our students and their families have a safe and relaxing summer break!
If you have any questions, please contact me at broadwmi@lovelandschools.org.
Go Tigers!

Urgent Need for Bus Drivers
We have an urgent need for bus drivers for the upcoming school year. When other districts have reached a similar point, they’ve been forced to skip some routes during some weeks because they are unable to get everyone to school. We will do everything we can to avoid reaching this point. Please create a backup plan for how your family would handle transportation in the event we are forced to limit bus service due to the driver shortage.
How Can You Help?
If you know of someone who would like to drive a bus for Loveland City Schools, send them our way. We provide paid training, health insurance, and retirement benefits. Apply online by following this link, or contact our Transportation Department at (513) 683-3103.
LECC Recognized for 5-Star Preschool Program

More “Heart Safe” Schools in Loveland
Loveland Intermediate School and Loveland Middle School were both recognized recently as “Heart Safe Schools” by Project ADAM and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The “Heart Safe” designation means each building has live-saving AEDs available, along with trained staff and a plan to respond to cardiac emergencies. Follow this link to learn more.
Celebrating Loveland Tiger Pathways
Thank you to the partners of our Loveland Tiger Pathways program who were honored last week. They provide our students with amazing hands-on, real-world career learning experiences like internships and job shadowing. Loveland-area businesses can contact Drews Mitchell, our College and Career Counselor, if they’re interested in getting involved!
