Kewaskum Way
Our PBIS program is now called the Kewaskum Way. In the past few years, staff and families have recognized the areas that we need to focus on. These are now in the acronym S.O.A.R. This stands for Self-Control, Ownership, Achievement, and Respect. Attached is the school wide matrix that we are focusing on.

Homecoming Game Expectations
As we prepare for our much-anticipated Homecoming Football Game on Friday, October 6, we want to communicate a few specific guidelines for our students' attendance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Please take a moment to review these important expectations:
1. Student Attendance with an Adult
For the safety and supervision of our students, all attending students must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the duration of the game. We appreciate your cooperation in making this event both enjoyable and secure for our young attendees.
2. No Backpacks Allowed
We kindly request that students do not bring backpacks to any high school sporting event. Please do not bring personal footballs into the game.
3. Behavior Expectations
We believe in fostering a positive and respectful environment for all attendees. Students are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully during the event. Any student who is not adhering to our behavior expectations will be asked to sit with their accompanying adult for the remainder of the game.
We greatly appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone attending the Homecoming Football Game. We look forward to celebrating this exciting event together.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we can't wait to see you at the game!
Halloween Expectations
In an effort to balance our academic routines with important social and cultural opportunities for our students, we’d like to share information on our classroom celebrations. We hope this helps your family to plan and enjoy some exciting social milestones in your elementary child’s experience.
Several holiday-centered celebrations have developed into traditions in our building. Students and their families look forward to these special themes and celebrations, and it may be helpful to know these traditions as your child progresses through school. Halloween, in particular, is an exciting time. We wish to tie our school celebration to the curriculum to use our time wisely, create excitement surrounding learning pieces (such as reading, math, social studies, and science), and remain sensitive to families’ unique approaches to this traditional holiday.
We ask that families refrain from dressing their child with potentially scary costumes and that they leave accessories and props such as masks, fake blood, weapons, etc at home. Please also keep in mind that costumes worn for the entire school day still need to allow for daily activities. Students will still need to go to recess, physical education class, perform typical daily tasks, eat lunch, etc. These guidelines help all students to enjoy the day.
Please don’t feel that you need to make an additional purchase to enjoy this school dress-up experience. Your child’s classroom teacher will communicate with you regarding more specifics in the near future.
