Your commitment to providing a quality education that prepares our students for successful careers is commendable.

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of continued support and membership in our association. Many high schools across the state have a Career and Technical Education (CTE) component to them. The Army would like to partner with these schools to discuss the many civil service opportunities aligned with CTE career fields like its Army Civilian Acquired Skills Program (ACASP) which allows young men and women to enlist in the Army at a higher pay grade in certain trade occupations. We has multiple job opportunities and training from culinary arts to IT, mechanical, and nursing both full- and part-time. For instances, students who enlist in the Army reserves (part-time), train, acquire leadership skills and return home with training and experience that positions them for a better paying job. As a reservist not only to students continuing to serve their country in a part-time status they can further expand their trade by utilizing their education benefits via tuition assistance, Post 9-11 GI bill, credentialing and much more.
