Superintendent's Message
Today marked an exciting milestone for our school district! It was the very first Intervention School Day, and the amount of planning and coordination that went into making it happen has been truly remarkable.
Our incredible Transportation Department designed a system that successfully transported our students to all parts of the district. Meanwhile, Child Nutrition developed an innovative grab-and-go lunch structure for our secondary students, ensuring that they could take their lunches home while still serving all of our elementary students. Behind the scenes, the Technology Department has been hard at work, programming and configuring the intervention communication system while also ensuring our attendance and grading systems run smoothly to support this new Intervention Model.
While these vital operations have been underway, our dedicated teachers, principals, and support staff have been diligently planning instruction—both for students attending the Intervention School Day in person and for those learning from home. Our teachers have demonstrated over and over that they are committed to helping every child learn. Their unwavering commitment to helping every child learn is inspiring.
Naturally, our biggest challenge today was that we couldn't fully test our plans ahead of time. Please bear with us as we fine-tune things—whether it’s a bus running a few minutes late, grab-and-go lunches taking a bit longer, or the messaging system isn’t quite perfect yet. We’re all learning new procedures and systems, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
It may take a few weeks to iron out all the kinks, but before long, these new processes will become routine. Thank you to our amazing teachers, support staff, and administrators, as well as the efforts of our Transportation, Child Nutrition, and Technology departments. I am grateful for your conviction to help every child. It truly takes a team to support our students in their learning journeys. Your hard work and dedication inspire me every single day!
Have a great weekend!

Intervention Messages
Did you get a message this week informing you if your secondary student needed to attend on Friday for Intervention Day? If not, it may be because you opted out of getting messages from the school. In order to get these messages in the future, you will need to opt back in.
The process for text messages is simple. Just text "Start" to 54968. To get these messages by email, call your child's school and the office staff can help you get that set up. Look for these messages every Thursday.
Help your young student build relationships, establish healthy routines and safeguard early learning by focusing on regular attendance.
Did you know?: Even one or two absences every two weeks can affect a young learner’s ability to gain reading and math skills and build social relationships. Helping them show up to learn is the best way to give them a solid foundation to build on.
