Qualifying History & Geo Bee Exams
Daniel Wright is offering students the opportunity to take the qualifying round of the National History Bee and National Geography Bee. This is an optional activity for students at DW in grades 6-8 with an interest in competing in these areas. Daniel Wright sponsors the History Bee and the Geography Bee as part of our school programs and will pay the entry fees specific to these two competitions. Travel is the responsibility of the families.
Students may opt to take the qualifying exam for the National Science Bee, however, competition in this specific area is independent of the school and will be the financial responsibility of the student's family.
Daniel Wright is offering three days for students to take the qualifying exam.

About the Exam
Students may only take the qualifying exam once. If we get more than one entry per student per exam, we will only take the first entry into account.
You don’t need to register in advance for the exams.
Students report to room 219 right after school to take the qualifying exam.
Students should bring a charged school issued iPad.
There are 50 multiple choice questions.
Each exam takes 20 minutes and is taken on an online web platform.
Students will be supervised while they take the exams and are not permitted to use any resources including any other websites.
Scores on the Online Regional Qualifying Exam will be utilized to determine which students have qualified for the Regional Finals. Scores will not be made public.
Students will be notified after the qualifying window closes if they move on to the regional meet. The top 50% of scores will progress to the regional meet.
One exam serves to qualify students for the Regional Finals for the National History Bee. (School sponsored)
One exam serves to qualify students for the Regional Finals of the National Science Bee. (Not school sponsored)
One exam serves to qualify students for both the Regional Finals of the International Geography Bee and the National Championships of the US Geography Championships. (School sponsored)
