Over the next few weeks, we will start to build tentative class lists for next fall. If you have any concerns for placement next year, please send an email to Mr. North (nnorth@awrsd.org) by May 17th. Specific teacher requests will not be granted. However, please feel free to share your child's learning style or concerns for peer relationships.

Dear Ashburnham residents and parents of future John R. Briggs students:

Children who turn five years old by August 31, 2021 are eligible to register for kindergarten. Registration is now in process. We encourage you to complete this process as soon as possible. Enrollment packets can be picked up in the school front entryway, or found online at www.awrsd.org/jrb. Please call the school at 978- 827-5750 or email Paula Kuehl at pstlaurentkuehl@awrsd.org if you have any questions, or if your child will not be enrolling.

We are set to host an OUTDOOR Chorus Concert on the front field on Wednesday, June 9th at 6:30 pm with a rain date of Thursday, June 10th. The field opens at 6 pm and the entire program should take about 20 minutes.

Things have been going relatively smoothly on the bus rides to and from school. We do need to point out that you must ride your own bus to and from school. We are still not yet permitted to allow students to ride the bus to a friend's house even with a note.

As has been the case all year, we are asking that students bring a water bottle to school each day since the water bubblers are not in service this school year. We have had some warm days already, and only anticipate more of them, so bring that water in!

A large Thank You from the staff at JRB for the teacher appreciation BBQ. It was very thoughtful and certainly well received.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Staff Appreciation Lunch on Wednesday! We heard from a number of staff members who really enjoyed the lunch and were thankful for the gesture.

The deadline to order yearbooks has been extended until 5/14 so there is still time to order a yearbook and create custom pages! When you login and go to order you will see "Past Purchase Deadline * - You are past the deadline, but the books have not started printing. You can still purchase and edit your custom pages, but you must do it ASAP as the books can go to print at any time." We are also still in need of candid photos to fill out the yearbook so please upload some of your favorites ASAP!
