February 19- Professional Development Day (No SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS)

All secondary students are required to wear an ID Badge while on campus to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Students may purchase a temporary badge daily for $1 or a new permanent badge for $5. Students without a permanent badge will not be allowed to move freely throughout the building. Students without a badge may receive disciplinary consequences per the Dallas ISD Student Code of Conduct.

NO OUTSIDE TREATS, BALLOONS, PLUSH, AND/OR GIFT OF ANY KIND WILL BE ALLOWED ON VALENTINE'S DAY! THESE UNCONTROLLED EXCHANGES CAUSE A HARDSHIP ON THE CAMPUS AT ALL LEVELS (INTAKE, TRANSITIONS, AND DISMISSAL). ALL GIFTS WILL BE CONFISCATED AND NOT RETURNED.

We also do not have Valentine's Day parties during the school day! We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Students will not be allowed to walk across the street to Family Dollar. The store is also asking that we not use their parking lot, as it prevents parking for their customers. Please help us by using Hodde street to pick up students. Even with construction, we are clear after 10 minutes.

Please ensure that students do not bring any prohibited items on campus. These items will be confiscated and will not be returned. Prohibited items include but not limited to: ski masks, perfumes/body sprays, sunglasses (inside the building), hats, bonnets, blankets, rat tail combs, lasers, facial jewelry, chips/snacks (not in a lunch form), open containers, slippers, Crocs, houseshoes, and hooded sweatshirts (inside the building with hoods on).
