Hello Elmwood Students and Families!

I am excited about the upcoming school year! We are excited to see many of you at our Open House event on Wednesday, August 30th from 5-6:30PM. This event will be a short time for families to tour our building, meet their child's teacher and drop off any school supplies. After you drop off your supplies, visit our cafeteria to enjoy an ice cream🍦 I will also have two short Q & A sessions in the gym from 5:15-5:30 and 6:15-6:30 to answer any questions about Elmwood's procedures.

On August 28th, we will be releasing your child's upcoming teacher's name via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please make sure to update all your child's information prior to this Monday to ensure you receive your child's teacher assignment. Check out the PowerSchool Parent Portal section below on how to access and update your information.

This year there is NO technology fee but insurance and charging equipment are available for purchase. Please read the Technology Family Letter below for more information.

Lastly, check out the Lunch at School section to read about the exciting news about breakfast and lunch at school this year. Also, make sure to click the blue the blue button to complete the Educational Benefit Form.

Parents must complete the online information update via the South Lake Parent Portal at https://ps.solake.misd.net/public/home.html. You should have received instructions, along with your child's Access ID and password, via USPS. If you do not have your child’s Access ID and password for the Parent Portal, please contact our front office.

Once you are logged into the Parent Portal, please click Forms ~ General ~ Returning Student Verification. This update must be done for each child enrolled in South Lake Schools.

Detroit Mercy Dental program is coming to Elmwood September 12th-14th. Please scan the QR code below to register your student for FREE dental cleaning and checkup.

We are pleased to inform you that South Lake Schools will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the School Year 2023-2024. The GREAT NEWS is that ALL students enrolled at our school can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE to your household each day.
