Athey Notes
Week 27
Welcome to Week 27
Dear Athey Community,
Last week was Classified Staff Appreciation, for all of our support staff in the classroom, the library, the cafeteria, custodial and front office. We would like to say thank you to your students who did such an amazing job decorating the school to show their gratitude! And a special thank you to the PTSA who packed the breakroom with cookies and appreciation!
Our Spring Track Team is forming now! No experience necessary! Students have the opportunity to try out all of the events, from discus to high jump to hurdles, before deciding which ones they'd like to compete in. It is an incredibly social event as well, with almost 200 students traditionally joining the team everyone is sure to know someone and make new friends! The first practice will be Monday, March 20th, and the season will run for 8 weeks. For more information, to sign up and volunteer for meets please visit our track page!
Representatives from our Outdoor School camps came by last week to visit 6th grade science classes to answer questions of our future campers! Outdoor school is scheduled for the last week of May so stay tuned for more information about camps, parent meeting and more!
On March 15th at 5:00PM the parent teacher conference sign up will be live! To access sign up you will need to go through your ParentVue app, click on conferences and it will bring you to the sign up page. Now is a great time to make sure you remember your password. Please feel free to reach out to our office, 503-673-7400, if you have any questions!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Joel Sebastian
