Wow! What a quick transition to Full Remote...parents thank you so much for your work on helping our kids get into learning mode at home. Please remember that we are here for you, so please reach out to your teacher or the office for help.

Attendance Procedures

Please call the office at 973-8250 to report absences so we can record things correctly. If you are leaving for an appointment, you will call and let us know of when you leave and return. Just like you would do if you were picking them up at school.

Snow Days - Weather Updates

Please be sure that you have updated phone numbers in Parent Vue. In the case of a snow day, the district may now be calling them continued Remote Learning Days. We all have our computers to access, so these days may look different.

Full Remote BOE Meeting

The next meeting to discuss Full Remote is scheduled for Monday, January 11. Until then, we will remain at Full Remote Learning for all.

Magnet Enrollment

Please click the link for applying for a magnet school for 21-22 School Year. https://www.usd259.org/magnet

If you are a current magnet student, you do not need to apply again to stay at McLean. 5th grade students must apply to a middle school magnet program - you do not need to apply for your neighborhood Middle School. Siblings of current McLean students must apply to have them considered for McLean next year. Please contact Mrs. Graves with any questions about the Magnet program at McLean or in the district. The deadline for applications is February 19, 2021.

PTA Meeting: No Meeting in December.

We will be meeting virtually. You can join via computer, tablet, or even by the telephone. Please plan to join us on January 12th for our next meeting.

PTA Memberships: If you want to have a say in how PTA raises and spends money, please consider joining. Dues are $5, and you can join at any time. We support Kansas PTA and the National PTA with a large portion of our membership dues; this allows them to lobby our lawmakers on behalf of your children. Our PTA has short term and long-term opportunities to support students. We are always happy to have new members. We are proud to be WildCats at McLean because we exhibit a large amount of parent and community participation.
