Before we went to Winter Break we had a furry of activities for students and families. Some of these included ASB Hot Cocoa sales in the mornings to warm students up before class. Also, our counselors held workshops lessons for students to help them refine their education and career paths. Families were invited to enjoy a wonderful winter concert in our Auditorium. We also held our last English Learners Advisory Committee meeting at Estancia High School where we said a fond farewell to our illustrious School Community Facilitator, Diana St. Germain and welcomed our newest team member to replace her, Mrs. Leticia Gallegos. I was completely surprised and honored to be recognized by this group for the progress made at TeWinkle in this last year and half connecting the community to the school in many meaningful ways. Thank you doesn't seem adequate, but I am grateful everyday that I have the opportunity to work with TeWinkle students and families. Finally, I'd like to remind you that first semester grades are now final and available for your review on Aeries. Parent/Counselor conferences will be set in the next few weeks for students who are struggling to maintain passing grades in their classes.

¡Feliz Año Nuevo a nuestra increíble comunidad escolar! Al entrar en este nuevo capítulo de 2024, llevemos con nosotros el espíritu de esperanza, alegría y determinación. Que los próximos meses estén llenos de nuevas oportunidades, emocionantes desafíos y numerosos momentos de crecimiento tanto para estudiantes como para maestros. A nuestros dedicados maestros, gracias por sus incansables esfuerzos, creatividad y apoyo inquebrantable. Su pasión por la educación ilumina nuestras aulas e inspira a los estudiantes a alcanzar las estrellas. Su compromiso para moldear mentes jóvenes es realmente encomiable, y estamos agradecidos por el impacto positivo que hacen cada día. A nuestros estudiantes, este nuevo año es un lienzo en blanco esperando sus pinceladas únicas. Acepten cada día con entusiasmo, curiosidad y hambre de conocimiento. Recuerden, cada desafío que enfrentan es una oportunidad para aprender y crecer. Su potencial es ilimitado, y creemos en su capacidad para lograr la grandeza. Antes de irnos al receso de invierno, tuvimos una serie de actividades para estudiantes y familias. Algunas de ellas incluyeron ventas de chocolate caliente por parte de la Asociación de Estudiantes (ASB) por las mañanas para calentar a los estudiantes antes de la clase. Además, nuestros consejeros llevaron a cabo talleres y lecciones para ayudar a los estudiantes a refinar sus caminos educativos y profesionales. Las familias fueron invitadas a disfrutar de un maravilloso concierto de invierno en nuestro auditorio. También tuvimos nuestra última reunión del Comité Asesor de Estudiantes de Inglés en la Escuela Secundaria Estancia, donde nos despedimos afectuosamente de nuestra ilustre Facilitadora de la Comunidad Escolar, Diana St. Germain, y dimos la bienvenida a nuestro nuevo miembro del equipo que la reemplazará, la Sra. Leticia Gallegos. Me sorprendió completamente y me siento honrada de ser reconocido por este grupo por el progreso logrado en TeWinkle en este último año y medio, conectando a la comunidad con la escuela de muchas maneras significativas. Gracias no parece suficiente, pero todos los días estoy agradecido por tener la oportunidad de trabajar con los estudiantes y familias de TeWinkle. Finalmente, me gustaría recordarles que las calificaciones del primer semestre ya son finales y están disponibles para su revisión en Aeries. Las conferencias de padres/consejeros se programarán en las próximas semanas para los estudiantes que tienen dificultades para mantener calificaciones aprobatorias en sus clases.

TeWinkle Middle School
During Middle School, we recognize that students are developing individually, intellectually, and are creating their own independent beliefs. We foster an environment where we empower our students by recognizing their diverse needs and individual strengths and use that knowledge to build lifelong learners. As a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) School, we offer an array of classes that are innovative and rigorous and focus on a STEAM initiative. In addition to PLTW, students can also be participants of music, AVID, Publications or ASB, giving all students an opportunity to become involved in areas of their own personal interest. In the classroom, our students will be engaged in 21st-century learning. We promote peer to peer engagement, high levels of critical thinking, culturally relevant instruction, and students will be challenged to think outside of the box. Our goal is to prepare students for high school and build a culture where we nurture our educational partners desires as it relates to college and career. Every student matters and we believe that every dream can be their reality.
Durante la escuela secundaria, reconocemos que los estudiantes se están desarrollando individualmente, intelectualmente y están creando sus propias creencias independientes. Fomentamos un entorno en el que capacitamos a nuestros estudiantes al reconocer sus diversas necesidades y fortalezas individuales y usamos ese conocimiento para formar aprendices de por vida. Como escuela del Proyecto Lead the Way (PLTW), ofrecemos una variedad de clases que son innovadoras y rigurosas y se enfocan en una iniciativa STEAM. Además de PLTW, los estudiantes también pueden ser participantes de música, AVID, Publicaciones o ASB, lo que brinda a todos los estudiantes la oportunidad de involucrarse en áreas de su propio interés personal. En el salón de clases, nuestros estudiantes participarán en el aprendizaje del siglo XXI. Promovemos la participación entre compañeros , altos niveles de pensamiento crítico, instrucción culturalmente relevante y los estudiantes serán desafiados a pensar más aya de lo común. Nuestro objetivo es preparar a los estudiantes para la preparatoria y construir una cultura en la que alimentemos los deseos de nuestros interesados en lo que respecta a la universidad y las carreras. Cada estudiante importa. Y creemos que cada sueño puede ser realidad.
