WELCOME THE NEWEST MEMBER TO THE TUSTIN CONNECT FAMILY.
My name is Mrs. Romberger and I am excited to teach History and Spanish at Tustin Connect High School. For the past three years, I've been teaching History and Spanish at a public high school on a Native American Reservation in Northern California.
A little about me. I grew up in Brea in Orange County. I went to the University of Redlands for my Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Single Subject Teaching Credential. I earned my Master’s degree in Human Rights from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. From there I have lived in Peru, Ethiopia, and Washington, D.C. When I am not teaching, I enjoy trying new food, going to the beach, and traveling with my husband. I also love following current events, running, and listening to audiobooks.
My goal this school year is to bring a global perspective into our learning and incorporate food and music from the Spanish speaking world.
If you have any questions throughout the school year please contact me at:

I am so excited to get to know you. We are going to have a great year!
High School Summer School Options UPDATED
CAASPP/State Testing Update
As mentioned a few weeks ago, our dates for State Testing this year are mid-April. We will provide grade-specific dates next week. The State has changed the calculations for each school. they've moved to a dashboard across multiple domains rather than the single score previously in place. One additional piece is how they calculate the participation rate. Our minimum participation rate is 95%. If we do not meet the 95% participation rate, for every student we are short, we receive the lowest possible score. For a school as small as we are, this can be devastating. If you are thinking of opting out, please come in and let's talk.

Measure N, is on the March 3 ballot. Measure N is a general obligation bond to improve school buildings inside the School Facilities Improvement District (SFID 20-1) that includes all of the oldest schools in the District. The SFID excludes all neighborhoods that are paying Mello-Roos fees that built the schools in Tustin Ranch, West Irvine, Northpark, Orchard Hills and Tustin Legacy.
Information about Bond Measure N can be found on the TUSD Website’s home page at www.tustin.k12.ca.us.
Reminder High School Students Utilize Grade Slam
Please remember to take advantage of Grade Slam for your academic courses including prior submission for all of your essays as well as support with English, Math and Science classes. It's an incredible resource. Be sure to use it! For your convenience, we've included a parent and student handout as well.
