We have had a superb start to the school year! The energy from our students and staff has been refreshing, as all are excited and ready for the year ahead. Classroom routines and expectations are set.

Students are still having indoor recess during lunch due to the high heat warnings. We are hoping that our temperatures will drop soon. Please continue to send water each day with your child.

Thank you, parents, for your patience at parent drop-off and pick-up. The pick-up lines are going faster because you are helping us out by having your car signs. Thank you!

Each week we will be pulling tickets from our Gators Showing Greatness bucket. Students can earn Gators Showing Greatness Tickets from any staff member on campus for going above and beyond, helping a friend, using their manners, and being kind. These are just a few ways to earn tickets. Gators, keep up the great work.

The purpose of curriculum night is for parents/guardians to meet with the classroom teacher to learn about the grade-level curriculum and expectations for the school year. I hope to see you on Wednesday Night.

At the start of the school year, we request each family to update and verify important information such as address, phone numbers, emergency contacts, handbook consents, etc.

Please log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account (click here) to make any necessary changes to your family's account.

Once you log into your account, please follow these steps:

• Click on "More" on the bottom left hand side of the portal screen
• Click on "Annual Update and New Student Registration"
• Click on "Start" next to the second 23-24 line that says "Not Started"
• Click "Begin Registration"
• If you are using the app, click the three lines on the top left, click on "More", and then click on "Annual Update and New Student Registration".

This update must be completed annually.

Please be advised that the answers provided on the Annual Update for the 22-23 school year will be end dated, so it's important that you complete this update for the 23-24 school year in order to have valid information for items such as Media Release, Internet Release, Virtual Consent, etc.

Looking for a way to get involved in your student's class? Join the Art Masterpiece program! No art or teaching experience required!

Parents will guide students through a prepared slide presentation and a step-by-step art lesson. The presentation and all supplies are provided for parents. There are six, one-hour art lessons throughout the year. Parents can sign up for only the lessons they're able to help with. The goal is to encourage children to appreciate all forms of art, promote art literacy and increase their awareness of art in the world around them. Encouraging creativity and having fun are the most important parts!

Parent volunteers, called Art Guides, are not required to have art or teaching experience! All art supplies and a google slides presentation, that will walk you through the art lesson and activity step by step, will be provided. Art Guides will lead classes through six prepared lessons - five for this 2021-2022 school year.

A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
