Check your email or student’s backpacks for report cards. Report cards for 1st - 8th have been emailed to guardians via FACTS/RenWeb. Pre-K - Kindergarten have had a hard copy sent home. If you did not receive a report card for your student, check your FACTS account for financial holds.

Early enrollment of returning students for the 2021-22 school year will begin on January 12th. Families may login to FACTS to register their existing students. After February 12th, your currently enrolled child’s spot will not be guaranteed, so please complete registration soon. Families should also complete an application for any siblings in order to receive preference in the review process. We will begin reviewing new student applications on February 13th. Please remember that the registration fee for the coming school year will not be billed through FACTS until May of 2021.

Do you know an exceptional St. Eugene alumnus that deserves recognition for their outstanding stewardship or recent accomplishments? Nominate him or her for the Distinguished Graduate Award! Fill out the form and submit by TODAY - Friday, Jan 8, 2021. Last year's recipient was Greg Schmidt, who joined a group of many other distinguished individuals.

January 18, 2021 in an in-session day for Archdiocesan Catholic Schools. The Catholic School of St. Eugene will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by participating in acts of service. For the last several years, students, staff and volunteers carry on King’s legacy by helping others on his day of remembrance. WE WILL DISMISS at 2PM ON THAT DAY! This call to serve is part of our school curriculum, SALT (Serve, Appreciate, Love, Teach), which students learn about all year. While COVID-19 restrictions have limited our students’ ability to go out and serve the greater community on MLK, Jr. Day this year, we will still honor King’s legacy in our own school and parish community. Grade levels will be planning in early January - stay tuned for details. Don’t forget to look for that beautiful blue SALT shirt and have it ready for Jan. 18th. Those who ordered a new shirt or requested a size exchange will be notified when shirts are ready for distribution.

We are looking for 5-7 large water jugs (like those that go on water coolers) that we can use for an upcoming coin drive. If you have one you can donate or lend for a while, please contact Mrs. Hattaway - media@steugeneschool.org.

Cleaning Products Clorox Wipes and other antibacterial cleaning products are limited and in demand again. While we still have some, we anticipate needing more throughout the school year. If you are out and about and see Clorox or any other antibacterial cleaning wipe, please pick up an extra for the school!

Calling all technology minded individuals! We would like to form a 2-3 person team of volunteers to help maintain technology around the school. IT service calls can take a huge bite out of our budget, so we are looking for people who have experience with maintaining networks and general troubleshooting (desktops, Chromebooks, printers, smart devices, etc). Ideally each volunteer would be able to make a 2-3 year commitment, and would help find their replacement before rolling off the tech team. An example of some of the tasks we need help with include updating desktops to Windows 10, making sure computers are connected to network printers, checking that security updates are completed regularly, setting up new equipment as needed, helping remove broken/outdated tech from inventory, salvaging usable components, etc. Please contact Mrs. Goldsworthy and reference Tech Team in your subject heading.

Looking for a Volunteer Musician! We would love to have music in the church again! We are looking for a volunteer or two to play the piano or guitar for either or both school masses each week. Book Study Groups Forming! It's a new year and another chance to grow closer to Jesus by strengthening our prayer lives. Join us beginning in February for a small group study on the new book, "I Heard God Laugh," by Matthew Kelly, available in both English and Spanish in the Narthex. We're looking for participants as well as a few folks willing to lead a small group either in person or via Zoom. A study guide will be provided consisting of seven sessions, so small groups can meet once a week or once a month. CHURCH OFFICE VOLUNTEER NEEDED. We are looking for some afternoon volunteers for Wednesdays and Fridays. The shift is from 12:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and just involves answering phones and light office work. If interested please call 405-751-7115 or email manager@steugenes.org

Mass is still celebrated daily at St. Eugene, and with the exception of school mass, masses are open for all to come and participate while following COVID precautions. Weekend mass times are: Saturday: 5:00 pm (English), Sunday: 9:30 am, 5:00 pm (English), Noon (Spanish), 7:00 pm (Spanish). All public masses are streamed on the church’s Facebook. You may also stream via the church’s YouTube channel for weekend masses.

• My Child is Ill. What Do I Do? Allergies or COVID? Stomach bug or COVID? It can be hard to decipher what ailment might be affecting your child. We have created some graphics and flowcharts to help you navigate what steps to take when your child or someone in your household is feeling unwell. Please report concerns or questions about illness to Mrs. Goldsworthy at illness-report@steugeneschool.org, and she will consult with our response team - Mrs. O'Connell and Mrs. Rischard. ALWAYS fill out and submit the Absentee Form (or call Ms. Patrick in the office), then notify your child’s homeroom/house teacher each day of absence.

• Absences Please use the Absentee Form to report absences AND email your child’s teacher/house homeroom. It is important to communicate why your child is missing school with the teacher and document through the Google form. Please be meticulous in following directions if a child, household member, or close contact has recently tested positive for COVID or is awaiting results of a COVID test. NO ONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD MAY ENTER THE SCHOOL BUILDING if COVID exposure is positive OR in question.
