I hope this finds you well. This is a big week at Groveland with conferences on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Conferences are a fantastic opportunity to touch base with your teacher and see how things are going. Teachers have gotten a good chance to get to know your child and you, as a parent or guardian, know them best. Working together, we can best teach your child so please make time to attend this week. If you are not sure when your child's conference is scheduled, please reach out to your child's teacher or the main office.

Here are a few things for this week:

• Virtual conferences are Tuesday afternoon and between 11:00-1:30pm on Friday. You can find the GoogleMeet codes for those conferences here. You will need to use your student's iPad for the conference. If you are having problems, please contact your student's teacher.
• We have NO school on Friday, November 19th due to conferences. And there is no EDL this week due to conferences.
• The nutrition services staff recently let us know that school milk cost $0.50 for students who bring home lunch. You can create/ add money to your account at School Cafe.
• We now have rapid tests for students who are being sent home sick with COVID symptoms. The health office staff will offer them to parents and guardians.

Every year Groveland receives money from the federal government. The amount is determined by the number of families who receive Free or Reduced Lunch. We would greatly appreciate it if all families, no matter your income level, could complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application which can be found here. You can sign into School Cafe or apply as a guest.

Fall Book Fair

Groveland’s fall Book Fair is online! Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading and fundraising event that helps bring books to school that kids want to read! It is a great chance to purchase engaging and affordable books for every reading level, and your purchase earns rewards for the school to use towards building classroom libraries and the school library! The dates for the fall online fair are: Nov. 10th-Nov. 24th.
