23-24 Season Updates
JANUARY birthdays!!!
Smartness and productivity are among the several traits of people born in the month of January. They are also very ambitious and diligent, the characteristics which make them highly productive at work. Although, generally serious, they can also be humorous at times. The month of January is ruled by the sun sign, Capricorn, and the karmic planet of Saturn. Together, they render the qualities of patience, perseverance and self-motivation to the individuals born under their governance. They are strong, hardworking and very tolerant individuals. Focus and determination, the basic requisites for anyone to succeed in life, are innate to them. They are highly observant and are extremely careful about the decisions they make.

THE following is in effect and will be strictly enforced
UNEXCUSED MISSED PRACTICES/EVENTS:
If you leave practice early: You will sit out for the same amount of time you leave early and collectively this can add up over time.
If one practice is missed= Verbal explanation of violation, warning against future consequence and cheerleader will show up at the next scheduled game in full uniform and sit out a portion of a game with her/his coach. However long will be up to discretion from the coach.
If two practices are missed= Verbal explanation of violation, warning against future consequence and cheerleader will show up at the next scheduled game in full uniform and will sit out the entire game and meet with the athlete and parent to discuss disciplinary action, probation, and action plan.
Continuous absences will result in removal from the program. Please do not commit to our team if you can not attend practice regularly
ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY:
Cheerleaders must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher in order to participate in our program. Any member failing to meet this standard will be put on academic probation for 6 weeks. During this time the member is not eligible to perform at any event, but he/she must still attend all events to support their team. Once the 6 week probation is up, if the student’s grades are above a 2.0, they may rejoin the team's activities. If not, the cheerleader will be removed from the cheer team.

COACHES CORNER
Hey There Knight Cheer Fam!
Welcome to Week 18!!! Hope you all had a blessed and restful winter break!! Spending the holidays with my family and friends was just what I needed. I also enjoyed putting in work with our competition team!! Regionals here we come!!
Basketball season is HERE!!! Please see the calendar for our first home game this week...The end of our 22-23 season is nearing and I am hoping to get through these next few months with all of our sideline athletes attending every scheduled game and/or event. I know that as the end of the year gets closer there are many things that come up especially for our graduates! I ask that you please reach out if you are feeling overwhelmed with the cheer schedule so that we can troubleshoot together.
We have had some team members reach out regarding their interest in STUNT the sport games. The coaches and I will be sending out an interest form while we gather more information on what forming a team might potentially look like.
Cheers to a great week and settling back in to a great school/cheer routine!!
Remember to Keep it Classy and GOOOOO KNIGHTS!!
