From a stroll through a park to a day spent hiking in the wilderness, exposure to nature has been linked to a host of benefits, including improved attention, lower stress, better mood, reduced risk of psychiatric disorders and even upticks in empathy and cooperation. Most research so far has focused on green spaces such as parks and forests, and researchers are now also beginning to study the benefits of blue spaces, places with river and ocean views. But nature comes in all shapes and sizes, and psychological research is still fine-tuning our understanding of its potential benefits. GCPS ParentSquare Resources
GCPS has transitioned from SchoolMessenger to ParentSquare for two-way communication between schools and families, and we encourage all families to download the app and create an account. With its user-friendly interface, ParentSquare offers seamless two-way communication through text, newsletters, posts, emergency alerts, and direct messaging. One of our favorite features is the integrated translation feature, which enables automatic translations for multilingual families.

If you experience an issue with accessing ParentVUE or StudentVUE mobile applications using Apple iOS, please download the most recent version from the Apple App Store.
The version of these apps will need to be 11.2 or higher.

- Step 3: Shop at your local Lidl from September 13 to November 7, 2023. Scan your mylidl account at the register, and you'll earn points!
- Step 4: Your school or the GCPS Foundation is immediately rewarded!
