Musical Accomplishments in the Middle School
Over the weekend two 6th graders performed a NYSSMA solo for a judge at Depew High School. Lorelai Thomas ( on the right ) performed a level 3 solo on her bassoon and received a score of 91. Sophia Wojcicki performed a level 4 solo on her baritone and received a score of 99!
There are 6 levels in the NYSSMA rating system, level 1 being elementary and level 6 being college level music. Both of these girls should be very proud of their efforts and for representing CCMS outside of the school. Great job girls!!!

Erin's Law is intended to help children, teachers, and parents in New York State schools identify sexual abuse, and to provide awareness, assistance, referral, or resource information for children and families who are victims of child sexual abuse. New York State mandates that students in Grades K-8 are educated on this topic each year.
