Schwenksville Home & School Association Update

Who we are and what we do:

• We are a group of volunteers who host fun activities involving students, families, and staff! Such as Welcome Back Social, Bell Run, Trunk or Treat, Winter Dance, BINGO, Showcase, Fun Fest, 5th Grade Celebration and the Yearbook.
• We also help support field trips, Library Guild, playground equipment, PSSA snacks, Reading Olympics, Schwenksville t-shirts for all students, staff appreciation, teacher supply requests, and guidance support.

Schwenksville’s Home & School Executive Board:

Co-President- Nikki Hartman

This is Nikki’s third year on the board. Nikki has chaired Bell Run and Fun Fest. Nikki has 2 sons, 1 at West and Max is in fourth grade.

Co-President - Nicole Vozzolo

This is Nicole’s third year on the board, but she has been helping with Home and School by organizing and running Schwenksville Showcase for 10 years. Nicole has 3 daughters, 1 at PVHS, 1 at West and Olivia is in third grade.

Vice President- Denby Guellich

This is Denby’s fourth and final year on the board. Denby has been the yearbook chair for six years. Denby has a daughter at PVHS and her son Brody is in fifth grade.

Treasurer- Rene Adelsberger

This is Rene’s second year on the board. Rene chairs the Pretzel Fundraiser, Winter Dance and BINGO. Both of Rene’s children are at Schwenksville Jack is in fourth grade and Hattie is in third grade.

Secretary- Jill Podbutzky

This is Jill’s second year on board. Jill is the chair for the Union Fundraiser and co-chairs the Winter Dance and BINGO. Her son Luka is in fourth grade.

Pretzels

● Back by popular demand is pretzel day! Once a month, Home and School and our

wonderful parents will distribute pretzels to the children if you would like to participate.

Ordering for the year is $10 and must be paid in full before the first pretzel day. If you

would like to order monthly, the cost is $1. You can also sponsor a class. This means

you would pay for the class for that month and Home and School will reach out with the

cost.

● First Pretzel Day is Wednesday September 20th. Payment is due by Friday September

15th.

Clothing Donations

● Looking for all children’s sizes for both boys and girls.

● New socks and underwear

● New or gently used shoes, clothing and outerwear.

● H&S will be collecting at events and working with our wonderful counselors to see that

Schwenksville kids that are in need are taken care of.
